Chapter 5

Two days passed quickly. The dragon's voice and Phoenix's screech that had been heard for those two days suddenly disappeared, along with the thunderclouds that disappeared above the cave where Kieran was cultivating.

"Isn't that the form of a Pro-Max level lightning dragon?" Mason was confused and continued to ask, "Why did that form suddenly disappear?"

Peter explained, "A Pro-Max level lightning dragon with nine heads alone wouldn't dare to meet Our Lord, let alone one that was just an ordinary lightning dragon. That dragon would choose to leave rather than deal with Our Lord."

That made Mason nod. Seeing that the black clouds in the sky had completely disappeared, Peter decided to go inside the cave to see how Kieran was doing.

He had forgotten that his Lord possessed the body of a Dragon Emperor. The man entered the room where Kieran was staying, filled with the powerful aura of a cultivator who had just entered the Ultimate Power realm. Although Kieran was still at the first level, the aura he released was much stronger than his level.

As Kieran felt Peter in his room, he slowly opened his eyes and saw a male figure kneeling before him. Peter successfully passed two levels in two days, surpassing Kieran's expectations.

Having finished stabilising his cultivation foundation, Kieran walked out of the cave accompanied by Peter, who walked behind him.

Swoosh!

The Dragon Emperor's aura of rage shot out from Kieran's body, making the ground around him tremble. Although it was only five per cent of the aura he released, it was enough to tremble Mason, a beast in the second-level Emperor realm.

"I spent most of my spiritual energy to create this aura, and it only lasted for a split second," said Kieran, who had just tested the power of the Dragon Emperor's rage aura.

[Sir, you are currently just a cultivator in the Ultimate Power realm, so energy is limited. But don't worry too much because when you reach the Immortal Realm, you won't have to worry about this every time you cast this ability]

[Congratulations, you received two special rewards for breaking through two realms of power. Do you want to open them right away?]

"From the name, I guess this is better than an ordinary gift box," Kieran muttered as he quickly opened his storage space table and saw two special gift cities.

"I want to see what I can get out of them," Kieran said without thinking, asking the system to open them both.

Kieran looked with open eyes at the two gifts he had received from the special gift system. The man felt stronger than ever. Kieran did not want to rule the entire Mali region with what he had.

Kieran was happy with what he got but soon sensed something unusual as he didn't feel Mason around the cave. He used his soul power to search for the Black Panther and quickly found him. However, the feeling Kieran had upon learning of Mason's whereabouts suggested that the Black Panther was in an unfavourable situation. Kieran immediately went to Mason as he desperately needed the banhis Lord.

Arriving at the outskirts of the Death Forest region, Kieran watched as ten first-rate Emperor realm cultivators surrounded and attacked Mason, who seemed to have injuries all over his body.

Kieran was instantly enraged at Mason's state, unleashing his Dragon Emperor's aura of rage. He exclaimed in a booming voice, "Dare to harm my friend, you all must die!"

Hearing Kieran's exclamation and feeling the aura that made their bodies immovable, the ten cultivators realised they had offended a figure, which they should not have offended.

"What kind of power is this? Why does my body feel stiff?" said one of the cultivators who attacked Mason.

No sooner had they broken out of the entanglement of the aura that prevented them from moving than a hundred black-masked figures with the strength of each at the fifth level of Ultimate Power appeared and directly attacked them.

They were surprised when a hundred masked men appeared and attacked quickly.

"Who are they?" One of them thought to himself, "Since when has this weak Continent had such strong people?"

The ten people lost everything in seconds, and the hundred masked men who attacked them then disappeared.

Peter walked up to Kieran and embraced him, saying, "My Lord, you're pushing yourself too hard." He then helped Kieran walk towards Mason.

Kieran smiled at that, then replied as he watched Mason hobble towards him, "It's all because I'm still too weak. Had I been stronger, none of this would have happened."

After seeing Mason's state and his remaining system points, Kieran bought two mid-level healing pills from the system shop and gave them directly to Mason. Mason wanted to refuse the pills his Lord gave him, but he didn't dare to refuse when he saw the expression on Kieran's face. He finally accepted it and started consuming the two pills.

Kieran asked Peter to look after Mason, who was recovering.

For the time being, Kieran saw the corpses of the people who attacked Mason earlier. Following the system's instructions, he picked up the rings coiled on their fingers. Since the system only asked him to collect the rings, Kieran didn't know what they were for. He finally asked about the system out of curiosity about its uses.

"System, what's the use of the rings I just took off their fingers?" asked Kieran in his mind.

[Sir, it is called a storage ring, an artefact that can store items with enough space. Usually, storage rings are used by cultivators to store their most precious treasures."]

"So, how do I see the items inside these rings? Do I need to drip my blood on the surface of these rings?" Kieran asked again.

[Sir, you can simply flow spiritual energy into the ring to see what items are inside. If you want to take out the item inside the ring, you just need to visualise the form of the item, and the item you have visualised will automatically emerge from the ring."]

"Somehow, I feel like the function of the storage ring is the same as the storage space I have," Kieran muttered.

[Of course, there's nothing wrong with that, as they both serve the purpose of storing things.]
