Chapter 6

Kieran had checked the contents of the ten cultivators' storage rings; he found many resources that could be used to increase strength.

"Mason, how are you? How's your wound?" asked Kieran as he saw the Black Panther walking towards him.

Mason walked back and forth in front of his Lord, showing that all his wounds had healed; even his scars were gone, making him look like he had never been injured. The pill Kieran gave him made Mason stronger, so it healed the wounds. He could ascend to the third level of the Emperor realm with a little push.

Mason's situation made Kieran smile happily as he returned to the cave to finish training before leaving the Wild Animal Park.

"Peter, do you know where the hundred masked figures who killed ten cultivators, who were my opponents, came from?" Mason said to Peter once they reached the mouth of the cave.

Peter just shook his head. Peter didn't know where the figure Mason was referring to came from, but he believed that the hundred masked men were His Lord's shadowy bodyguards.

"What if we ask Kieran? He might know where they're from!" said Mason.

"Of course. He must know who the figures behind the masks are, or perhaps they are his shadow guards because their arrival almost coincided with the appearance of his Dragon Emperor's anger aura," Mason said.

Peter didn't think Mason would have the same opinion as him. Now, he was even more convinced that the masked figure he saw earlier was Kieran's shadow bodyguard.

Kieran was refining the Shadow Binding and Shadow Body techniques in the cave, which he could learn after reaching the Ultimate Power realm.

The man smiled happily and said, "With the Shadow Binding technique, I can use it to control someone weaker than me. As for the Shadow Body technique, I can create a shadow body with a power one realm below my realm of strength, but I can only open up one realm for now."

Kieran wanted to learn the sky-shaking sword method, which was a sky-level method which was only weaker than Avatar and God-level methods.

"I will learn this technique before leaving the Death Forest," Kieran said as he unrolled the technique.

The sky-shaking sword technique combines three equally powerful sword techniques: the thousand shadow sword, the flying sword, and the illusion sword.

As Kieran finished reading the contents of the technical scroll he was holding, the writing inside suddenly disappeared and turned into a haze of smoke that instantly faded into his mind.

Like when he learnt the four-level shadow technique, Kieran understood the sky-shaking sword technique very quickly after the grain of light entered his mind.

He said in just a few seconds, "The sky-level technique is indeed extraordinary; with just a move, the sky-shaking sword technique can split a Continent."

Although he hasn't tried it yet, Kieran recognises the power of celestial techniques. However, the man believes that the method is very effective from his point of view.

Curious about the increase in his strength, Kieran opened his status table. "My strength has increased, but I no longer have any system points left to purchase items in the system shop."

Kieran could only bemoan his fate when he saw that his system's point count was zero.

[Sir, you take it easy; many methods exist to earn system points. As a benevolent system, I will tell you. From now on you must complete several missions to earn a certain amount of system points. The number of system points you will get depends on the level of missions you can complete]

After hearing the system's praise, Kieran frowned. He didn't know that the system was so selfish.

"Became the winner of the young cultivator competition in the Kusuma Empire and was accepted as a disciple of the Skeleton Graveyard Group in Lunaria." One of the missions that attracted Kieran's attention was reading.

Kieran smiled widely as he looked at the number of ten million system points as the mission reward. The huge reward of the mission caught his attention.

Without thinking, Kieran immediately made his choice to complete the mission. "I want to see how strong the young cultivators of the Kusuma Empire are," he muttered.

The man wanted to explore Lunaria and leave Mali, which was only filled with conflict between the two Empires controlling the southern region. Although he could purchase all the resources from the system store, Kieran did not want to stay in an area with limited resources.

If Kieran could get what he needed for free, why should he use system points to buy items in the system shop? With only the little knowledge of Lunaria that he had gained from Mason. Kieran believed that he could save system points while he was in that place.

Kieran not only did medium-level missions but also high-level missions, which had no time limit to complete. This mission required him to kill demonic beasts in exchange for experience points and system points, which was very rewarding for me.

"I'd better go out now and meet them. I also want to ask Mason who the ten cultivators attacked him. From the cultivation traces, it seems they are not cultivators from this Continent."

Kieran concluded that the ten people who attacked Mason were not cultivators who came from Mali because, from the information he got from the system, in Mali, there were no cultivators in the Emperor's realm other than the Black Panther, who became his contract beast.

"What are you guys doing?" asked Kieran as Mason and Peter looked at him from head to toe.

"Sorry, my Lord, we just wanted to confirm the whereabouts of your shadow guardian figure," Mason replied.

Kieran looked confused when he heard Mason's answer. "Shadow guards? Are you saying my shadow guards are the hundred masked figures who saved you before? If they are, then to be honest, they are not shadow guards but shadow troops that will appear when I need them."

After hearing his Lord's answer, Mason nodded, showing his curiosity for the identity of the hundred masked men who had saved him.

Kieran stated that he wanted to leave the Death Forest with his subordinates to avoid the strange gazes of the contract beasts, and he would do so tomorrow when the sun began to appear.

Peter would surely follow his Lord's wishes as an obedient and loyal subordinate. However, the ruler of the Death Forest, Mason, asked for his Lord's permission to visit a golden eagle, who would be chosen as the new ruler.

Kieran nodded clearly. He would let Mason meet the person taking over his position, but he reminded him to return as soon as his task was completed.

Kieran wanted to earn many system points to purchase resources from the system store. Kieran still had a hundred high-level immortal cultivation pills and various resources inside the loot storage ring, but he didn't believe it would make him the strongest cultivator.

Kieran only needed to grow stronger to get the information he needed, even though he didn't know the world's strongest cultivator figure. He had the power to get whatever he wanted.

Being strong is the only way to survive and get what Kieran wants in a world that prioritises strength.

"Maybe becoming the strongest cultivator can bring me back to my former life," Kieran said to himself.

The man still hopes to return and continue his mission as an Air Force soldier.

"If the opportunity comes to me, I will grab it without thinking."
