Alice is so angry right now. She has just sat in he car and heard all the wrong that everyone has been doing to her boss since he stopped into the city. Especially his wife!

Gray Lance is a hero! If not for him, they will still be locked up in their houses and hiding under their beds with the fear of war.

Why are they treating him like this? Because of the accident that left him a blind, they are now treating him like trash?

She can't believe that even his wife, Wendy is on to this! She has never met Wendy before, but she has helped Gray to pick out the best diamond necklace for her.

Gray loves her very much and used to spend so much on her. But she has turned against him because he was away for just a few years?! What a bad wife!

“Sir, do you want me to deal with her for you?” Alice asks with a pained look. “Just give me the order, sir, I will go around the city and make sure that all of these people pay for all their sins against you! Especially Wendy Lance.”

Gray smiles at her swift move to defend him, but he asks her to calm down.

“Alice, you are a faithful follower of mine, I like that, but I want you not to get angry just yet. I have something else to show you. First of all, let's go to my mansion.”

Her eyes bulge and her jaw drops to the ground. “Mansion? Sir? But have you forgotten that you don't have a house anymore? You were gracious enough to leave your house to your wife, but she has used it for her personal gain. Which other house are you talking about?”

Gray laughs at her ignorance. He feels around her small jeep and inhales deeply.

“How about we do less talking and just get going, shall we?”

Alice is not used to asking her boss too many questions, so she starts to drive the car to where he asked her to.

A small gasp leaves her mouth when she sees that her boss has directed her towards the Golden Gates estate.

Oh, nothing much to worry about, only that the Golden Gates estate is home to strictly the billionaires of the city!

Yes, her boss is rich and he is one of the top ranking military officers, but even that is not enough to get him a house in Golden Gates!

Is he playing a prank on her? No, this has got to be a joke! She glances at him, but he still looks very serious

She gets the huge gates, that are painted just as their name implies.

It would take a lot of clearance to go through this gate right now…

Five security men jump in front of the gates and order them to stop.

“Hold up! Who is this? Who is this that has come to the Golden Gates with so much audacity?!” The head of the security barks.

Alice looks tense. She knows that this is not a good idea, but Gray, he doesn't look disturbed at all.

“Good evening, boys. Gray Lance, Member of the estate.” Gray says.

“No, you are not. If not, why haven't we seen your face before?” One of them snorts. “Are you new? Even if you are, we would have been alerted.”

“No, I'm not new. I have owned a house here for over five years.” Gray rolls his eyes.

The security men look at each other, they don't believe this. The cheapest house here is over 200 million dollars. This man comes up in a common old jeep and they are supposed to believe that he owns a house?

Gray sighs, he is tired of them holding him. He pulls up his golden card, the pass that every resident is supposed to have.

“Here,” he waves it for them to see. “Does that clear your doubt now?”

The leader snatches the card and looks at it. With concentration. It's authentic, he can tell because the golden card is not something that can be replicated. There is only one explanation for this. This man stole it.

“Are you a thief?”

Alice is gripping the wheel a little too tightly. These disrespectful men don't know how they are dealing with them.

“Excuse me, he is not a con artist, and also, my boss doesn't like to be kept waiting.” She sighs.

The security whistles and shakes hands with each other.

“Oh, the pretty lady speaks.” He chuckles.

“Tell me, how much did he pay you to drive him here and trick us into allowing you people in.”

She rolls her eyes. She turns to Gray, let him just give her the go ahead and she is going to deal with them.

Gray holds her hand. The security are getting more violent and even more disrespectful, but if not for Gray holding her back, she is staying still.

“Get out of the car, miss. Your con artist friend too! A blind man who is also a thief!” The security instructs. “We are not going to call the police, we are going to call the military!”

Gray laughs. He wishes they would.

Alice looks at Gray again, wishing that he would allow her to do what's in her heart. She won't hurt them too much.

But she recognizes the look on his face. It's an order for her to hold her horses.

“Hey! What's going on here?!”

A car has just pulled up behind them and a man angrily walks up to the gate.

“Why haven't you opened the gate already? What's the reason for this commotion?” He asks angrily.

“Forgive us, boss. This is the third time this month that thieves are trying to sneak their way into the estate.” The head of the security says. “But don't worry, we have caught this man. Oh, you are going to be so proud of us.”

The man turns to look at the occupants in the car and his face immediately turns white.

“Mister Gray Lance!” He throws himself to the ground and bows to Gray.

Gary looks ahead with a smile on his face. “ahhh, Mister manager? Is that you?”

“Yes, yes, Mister Lance!” The manager shivers.

The security is thrown into surprise. Why is their boss, the estate manager, throwing himself on the ground in front of this poor man?
