A Guest Arriving

Lucy heaved a tired sigh.

"Greg, just wait until I am better. I'll be back on my feet in a bit, and I will come to your house. The first place I will visit as soon as I am better is your house," Lucy said to Greg.

Greg chuckled and shook his head.

Should he tell Lucy that he no longer lived in that house, or should he allow her to keep living in the past?

"I insist," Greg said with a firm tone that made it sound obvious to Lucy that he was not going to go back on his words.

"But my mom..." Lucy was arguing when Greg reprimanded her.

'You are not a kid, Lucy. Where are you? I am on my way there already," Greg said.

Lucy was taken aback by Greg's behavior and tone of voice.

The Greg that she cut off from a few months ago was nearly timid.

One needed to have pushed Greg beyond his limits before an angry or aggressive reaction would come out of him.

In fact, was this not the same Greg that used to insist on not being in public places because of reasons that Lucy had not yet figured out? N
