She looked at her mother's back as she walked to the door, grumbling about the fact that the housekeeper had not thought to be at the door until now.

''I wonder what I pay him for. He just sits around the house, sleeping, eating, admiring himself in the mirror every now and then, and does absolutely nothing to show that he is here to work,'' Margaret Ban was saying as she walked towards the door.

She passed by the housekeeper's room, which was close to the front door, and peeped in to find out what he was doing.

She shook her head when she heard the sound of the shower rushing in his bathroom. He was taking a bath, that was why he could not attend to the door.

''Ridiculous!'' Margaret Ban muttered and continued to walk towards the door.

While she walked to the door, she wondered why whoever was out there had not knocked again. It had taken a while since the person first knocked, and no one had answered the door yet, shouldn't the person knock again?
