Gary and others were riding different spiders while sitting on mattresses that were attached to their backs. These spiders were not humanoid spiders but beast-like ones.

“Our neighboring territory is where the jackals live,” the spider general was telling everyone. “Their levels average around hundred, but they hunt in packs, so they are quite annoying. Most of all, their leader Blackback is leveled close to 200. He’s a very arrogant guy who doesn’t listen to anybody. He’s even rebellious and doesn’t offer any sacrifice to God Yves.”

“Then why doesn’t Yves do anything?” Sesi asked. “Why keep a rebellious subordinate unpunished? Won’t others get spoiled because of him?”

“Lord Yves treats different subordinates differently,” the spider general said. He had a pointy beard and scars running down his forehead, making him look scary.
