CHAPTER 38

The four feral, humanoid jackals jumped at them with their tongues drooling and hanging out.

Sesi’s braid first flew and caught the jackal by the neck and burned its throat the point that flesh melted.

Leah unsheathed her sword and blocked the claws of another jackal. She tried to release aura into her sword, but it didn’t work out. Still, she countered the jackal’s next attack and slit its face diagonally with a swift double-handed swing.

Rowan, on the other hand, was pushed back by the jackal, which managed to cut up the skin and flesh on his arms. His defense was his strongest asset, but against the claws of this jackal that was leveled over 120, Rowans’ defense stat didn’t shine at all.

The jackal licked his blood of its claws and grinned. “Human blood tastes the best. Now, why don’t I make you bleed some more?” he jumped and clawed with both of his hands. “Wind Tear!” His claws were able to slice through the air and send aerial slashes that hurt Rowan badly even though he crossed
