CHAPTER 52

His heart was beating as first as it could the closer he got home. He wanted to believe nothing really happened and that she just wanted him home. Maybe she had something planned for him.

But the more he told himself that, the more he realized it was not true. Just last night they were not on good terms and this morning she just left without telling him where she was even going.

After things got better between them, they never left home without enforcing each other where the other was going. But this morning she just left without telling him anything. That was freaking the hell out of him.

He drove as fast as he could, but then that day there was a lot of traffic and he nearly got into a fight with someone because he kept shouting for them to drive faster even though he could see that it was not the person’s fault.
