CHAPTER TEN

The all way home he was silent. Allowing her to suffer with questions to what was happening. The woman had no idea to what was happening at all. How her husband happened to get so much money to buy her shares of the company to save her company.

He had no money to get a new expensive SUV. Just this morning he was taking a taxi to go out. And now he appeares with money enough to buy her shares.

She was drowning in questions and he was not giving her a chance to ask any of them. She couldn’t even think of asking him what was happening because she had no idea where to start. Other than wait as he told her to. For everyone to get to the mansion that was apparently his according to Charity.

Half way home, his phone rang. He took it from the holder and Charity was calling.

“Yes Charity,” he answered.

“I have the papers you needed for the mansion. Should I sent to your email or you will get them tomorrow?” She asked.

“You should send them. I need them. And you called at the right time as always. Thanks for been supportive,” he spoke and risked a glance at his wife — who was trying to act as if she was not paying attention.

“Anytime. I’m just doing my job sir. Anyway have a good night and see you tomorrow,” she spoke.

“Have a good night as well,” he spoke and cut off the phone.

After a few minutes Eliza finally talked. She couldn’t keep it all inside and wait for them to reach home. Trevor didn’t have friends and much less girl friends. The all thing was weird and she needed to find out what was happening as soon as possible.

“Who were you talking to? Not that I care if you are seeing someone else. But because this all things is weird,” Eliza spoke in a rush.

He smiled as he shot her a stealy glance. “It’s Charity. She works at my wine company which your grandfather left for me. And there is no need to act up. She is just my worker.” He spoke.

She flinched in her sit at what he just said. “I’m not acting up. As I said I don’t care.”

“Hopefully that is the truth. Anyway, I love you and I will forever love you. You are my one and only. The one that my heart beats for. I can’t see myself leaving without you. Even though you pretend you don’t love me even a bit, I know deep down you feel something for me,” he smiled her way as he entered the gate.

“I don’t love you, idiot. Why would I want to spend the rest of my life with someone like you? You were crying over a bike in front of people for the love of God. Everyone at work were laughing at me. I have said this and I will say it now. You and I can never be. Forget it. And if that shred you just pulled off there was all to impress me then you have put yourself in trouble.” She spoke, making sure he felt every impact of her words. And they pierced through his heart.

He doesn’t know and he doesn’t understand how he still love her after everything she has done to him. She was willing to divorce him because she wanted to save the company. She would rather they divorce then her losing the company. She has said way too many things to him that have hurt his feelings time and time again. But he still can’t let go of her.

He just bought the freaking shares for her. Sometimes he thought loving her was a mistake. A curse. Because he can do anything for them to be together.

“It hurts. Everything you just said. But I will do it because of Mr. Noah. He wanted me to be with you. That I’m meant for you. Anyway, what I did back there wasn’t to impress anyone. I got you want you wanted. Now you can’t go off and marry that bastard,” he spoke and they went out of the car.

He followed her behind as they walked inside the mansion. Three more cars pulled behind but he never paid attention to it. He has more things he needed to worry about than that. He needs to make sure things work out tonight. Make sure they get what they deserve for everything they have done for him.

“What do you think you are doing? You have down enough already. Don’t do this to yourself, Trevor,” she spoke.

“I’m only doing what I needed to do all this time. To put your family straight. The family is broken. None of you cares for each other. You only care about each other because one has the money,” he spoke as he took his sit at grandmother’s usual couch.

There was silence as everyone walked in. And they all just looked at him perplexed by his gesture. And the people that were not at the company — all the in-laws were present and he couldn’t ask for a better audience.

Then the person he wanted to see so much walked in. Her eyes widened upon seeing what Trevor had done.

“What do you think you are doing?” Grandmother asked.

“And I told you to get your little things and leave this house. I don’t want to see your face ever again,” his mother-in-law spoke.

He just smirked at all of them. Then he stood up and began clapping. Looking from each of them.

“What the hell are you clapping about? You threw your little shred at the company. Here we will teach you a lesson,” one of the son-in-law spoke.

“Alexander, If I we’re you i would rather just keep quiet. You weren’t there and you have no idea what happened. Also what right do you have to throw me out of this house? As far as I know it belongs to none of you,” he spoke looking from each of them. “And i can’t believe you were also in it,” he looked at his wife.

But she looked from grandmother to her mother. Then looked back at Trevor. Trying to see what was happening, “What the hell are you talking about?”

“Wait they didn’t tell you?” He glared at his mother-in-law. Then sighed at the thought that his wife was in the dark and she had no idea what was happening. That way he can’t have another reason why he should hurt her.

“Mother what is he talking about?” She asked again.

They were all silent. Then after a while he took his sit and cleared his throat. “They lies about the will Mr. Noah left. Well not all. By most of the important things they lied about them,” he spoke, smiling at their paranoid faces.

“Grandmother what is he talking about?” She asked again.

“Nothing. He is just talking nonsense. Don’t listen to him. He is a crazy man and he needs to be thrown out of the mansion. Take him away!” She shouted.

He raised a hand as they walked to him. “Since you still don’t want to say a thing to your youngest granddaughter I will do it. And it seems you all were in it too. I was going to pit you. But you have showed me no mercy.”

“Trevor just get to it already!” She scolded.

“So, yesterday I got a message from the company I never knew existed. And after I went there this morning I found out your grandfather left the wine company in my name. Which is doing better than your tea and coffee company. Then the woman I found there told me about the mansion been in my name. I don’t know how they managed to fool all of us here,” he spoke walking to his wife. “I know they didn’t tell you because they knew you wouldn’t let them get away with it. Deep down you are a good person unlike them. They lied about it all,” he explained holding her hands.

But she pulled away. One step at a time. She walked to her mother. Looking deep in the woman’s eyes. Then she turned to look at her grandmother.

“He is—“

“Grandmother I need the truth now. I don’t want you to keep lying to me. Is what he is saying the truth? Did grandpa leave this mansion in his name?” She asked. “Mother please. I’m not a kid anymore,” she pleaded.

There was silence and then her big sister spoke. “How can you listen to this lowlife then us. Your family.”

“Because this lowlife is saying the truth. And here I have what I need to prove my claims,” he spoke and took his phone from his pocket. Pressed on it for a while then handed it to his wife.

She was silent for a while. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. They kept it all from her. All because they also knew she wouldn’t allow them to do that to him.

He looked from one to the other. Happy to see the look on their faces. It was wealth every second of his life. Hopefully it stays like this from now on. Leap to the top.
