Chapter 19

“Chris!” She shouted out loud but there was no way he could hear her in this chaos.

She started moving towards the centre of crowd as she knew that Chris must be at the heart of crowd.

She was already slow due to her injury and then she had to make her way through so many werewolves…making her movement slower.

Chris jumped over a stone that was in middle of ground and his height gave him a better view of rage filled beasts coming towards his direction…

He murmured “I saved your daughter..and I don’t think this is how you thank someone.”

“Just play, don’t go brutal at first. Wait for my command…CHARGE!” He roared and all the wolves started running towards the vampires who were coming for them.

Anna got tossed on ground as she got pushed away by one of the werewolf. She again somehow managed to get up and look around for Chris and finally she found him standing on the top of that large stone.

She walked towards him and on her way she tripped multiple times getting bruises. Finally she reached the stone and found a place to hold onto.

She shouted “CHRIS!” Multiple times using all the energy that was left within her.

Chris’s eyes were stuck on his wolves looking for the right moment to jump into the field. Both the parties were hitting and tossing each other in air to make the other one weak and give few injuries, the vampires were also following the policy of not going brutal mainly because their first motive was to find Anna who they assumed must be tied in a dark cottage.

He got distracted by the feminine voice that was continuously calling him. He looked down only to witness Anna trying to climb up the stone with injured leg and new bruises.

Chris sighed, rolled his eyes and murmured “Women!” And then went down to her.

He turned into his human form wearing only his oversized large pants (that don’t tear up when he turns). He walked upto her and asked, “You have serious issue of calling troubles upon yourself. You know these beasts around you are currently dealing with your clan. Thank god that they fear me else you would have been dead the moment you stepped out of your chamber.”

“I couldn’t think of anything else. This fight is not supposed to occur..JUST STOP IT.” She shouted

“Stop it? You are commanding me? For your information lady it’s your clan that is showing their gratitude like this.” Chris shouted back.

“That’s because they don’t know you saved me.” She replied.

“What? You didn’t informed them?” He asked.

“I have my issues with telepathic conversations.” She accepted.

At this time all Chris could do was slap his forehead knowing that they must have misunderstood her presence in his base.

With in seconds he figured out that “THIS BLODDY SHIT NEEDS TO STOP! STOP FIGHTING!” He shouted and disappeared in the field where the fight was going onn.

Anna was scared as hell with the view of two of the strongest beings clashing and that also over a misunderstanding.

She tried getting into the field but every time she tried to enter she got swinged away like a piece of paper. She felt like crying after realising that there was nothing that she could do to reach her parents and stop this unwanted battle. All she was wishing for was a chance to talk to her people.

It was the peak of her calmness, she got so angry that with all her might she shouted “STOP ALL THIS NOW!”

And boom..and she felt like something exploded within her and then everything came to rest…even the noise around her started decreasing.

She opened her eyes while panting and could see that vampires were backing off..

And instead of fighting the wolves they were trying to stop the already raged wolves.

“You ok my dear.” She heard her mother’s voice in her head.

Anna’s eyes got filled with moisture and she replied, “I’m ok mother. Please make this stop.”

While wiping off her sweat she then realised that she was doing telepathy. The stress and anxiety that she felt a few minutes ago somehow made her do telepathic conversation.

Chris was facing Luis only when he heard his daughter asking him to stop. Chris was ready to take the attack from Luis as he knew that if he wants to talk to Luis he have to calm him down first.

But much to his shock before the first blow, Luis himself backed out and stood straight.

When Chris noticed one of the wolf coming towards Luis’s direction to attack him he intervened and commanded his pack to stop.

The battle field that was a chaos a moment ago came to rest with both parties sustaining little injuries.

Luis looked upto Chris and said, “Take me to her.”

Chris nodded and lead him towards Anna who was standing with moist eyes and in a worn out condition that clearly showed the struggle she did while trying to reach Chris and her father.

Anna ran towards her father and hugged him tight. She cried knowing that she could finally stoped this fight at time otherwise god knows what would have happened.

“You alright? Did these wolves caused you any trouble?” He asked with straight face and gave a stare towards Chris who was looking into his eyes without any fear.

Anna broke the hug and replied, “No father. They are nice people, They saved me instead.”

Luis smirked and said, “I see you guys are good at putting a show.”

“Mind your words Luis.” Chris said with rage.

“You should mind your people first Chris.” Luis replied with equal rage.

Anna could feel the tension rising between two men and interrupted, “Came down…both of you. Please. Father who is being attacked.” While looking towards Chris, who agreed.

Luis looked at his daughter’s confidence and her attitude and felt a little proud in the way she was talking to Chris knowing he was the alpha.

He gave her a chance to lead and said, “Ginny it is.”

She then turned towards Chris and asked, “Is any of your wolf away on hunt?”

“Nope.” He replied with much calmer tone as compared to the one in which he was talking to Luis.

“Father how are you so sure that ginny was attacked by a wolf only?” She asked and for a moment Luis was like “why the hell is she questioning her own father..let it be..let the truth prevail.”

“We have seen claw mark on her back. And she was attacked at the boundary of this base.” Luis said.

“And you assumed that my wolf attacked you?” Chris asked in high tone and continued, “I can bet on it that none of my wolf was out on hunt.”

Anna looked upto her father and asked, “Father have you seen any wolf around ginny.”

“No there was none.” Said a female voice from the crowd.

The crowd gave way to Ginny and Anna’s mother who came close to Luis and stood there.

“I was attacked by some..thing…but I can not clearly say it was a wolf.” Ginny clarified.

“Now that’s a marvellous example of excellent leadership. You not even clarified with the victim who attacked her.” Chris mocked Luis with a smirk that ran slow laughs amongst the wolves, making Luis angry.

Chris’s smile fade away the moment he had an eye contact with Anna who glared at him.

“This women..can’t even joke around in front of her.” he thought to himself.

“Who else could have attacked her then in your area? And how can we trust you knowing that you abducted my sister.” Jake said out loud supporting his dad.

“She has already cleared that I have saved her..why the fuck would I abduct her?” Chris said in annoyance.

“Jake that was not and abduction. I was attacked and he saved me.” Anna said and looked towards Chris who had a smirk on his face.

Jake glared at Chris with tensed eyes and the tension amongst three men was clearly visible.
