Tricia started to growl; she was not pleased with the question that Hudson asked or the way Hudson was acting towards Pete. "Does his age matter? Age is just a number," Tricia said with a piercing gaze at Hudson.

"Don’t worry, sweety, I will answer his question," Pete replied as he stretched his hand and held one of Tricia’s hands under the table.

"I am 28 years old," Pete said calmly, staring at Hudson.

Hudson’s eyes and mouth opened wide. What is a 28-year-old man doing with my mom, and what does he want from her? Does he love my mom the way he claims he does? I don’t know if he is being genuine with my mom, but I am going to have to do a background check on him, Hudson thought.

"Come on, Hudson, you don’t have to look so shocked; I love your mom with all my heart; she is the only woman that has understood me on this type of level before, and I assure you that I am going to stick with her no matter what," Pete stated boldly.
