SECOND MISSION

He opened the map and started looking at it. ‘This is what I will use to navigate through the city the next time I go there; I wish the system could give me that info and the direction, but I guess since it’s just a dual empire building system, there is so much it could do, I will have to figure out the rest on my own’ Hudson thought.

As he looked through the map, he saw that the city has a magical academy that is not too far from the town he last visited. He also saw a landmark that was designed with the face of a man that was wearing a crown.

He was curious about the magical academy because he recalled that when the system first bonded with him, he saw a column that said, "Magical powers," which signified that he could learn magic from the magical world. So, he concluded that he was going to visit the magical academy when he next visited the magical world.

Six days later, Hudson was walking down the hallway of the large mall that was close to his house. He was going shopping for the items he was going to sell in the magical world. He was carrying his blue backpack on his back and had bought multiple lighters, which cost about two dollars each. He wanted to make sure that he capitalized on the lighter sales in the magical world. He also wanted to add other items to what he had so that he could also try out new products and see whether he could sell them for good prices.

Hudson went to an isle and bought candles, which he thought would be a great demonstration for his lighter and that he could also end up selling the candles there. I hope I get a good amount of gold coins for these products that I purchased. Hudson had also exchanged his remaining 80 gold coins for cash, which he used to sustain his mom and sister and had extra money with him for the products he wanted to purchase and sell in the magical world.

The following morning,

Hudson woke up to a loud dinging sound in his head, and as he opened his eyes to look up, a white screen appeared. [The system will now issue its second mission.]

[Mission 2: Learn your first magic in the magical world.]

[Mission Time Limit: 96 Hours]

[Reward: 100 gold coins]

[You will be transported into the magical world in 4 hours; find a safe place.]

"It’s about that time—my second mission," Hudson said with a smirk as he rose from his bed and stretched his hands. Hudson was not shocked that the system asked him to learn his first magic, as he was already thinking about visiting the magical academy in Magnitoz City.

He swiftly stood up and did his morning routine.

Hudson had just come out of the shower; he had a towel tied around his waist as he was standing in front of his wardrobe. Hudson had bought clothing that looks like those that people wear in the magical world. He knew that if he dressed just like them, he would be able to blend in perfectly with the people.

The outfit was dark brown. He swiftly took off his towel and put on the clothing. After that, he ambled over to his bed and sat down at the edge of the bed as he picked up his blue backpack and wore it on his back. He had put all the stuff he needed to sell in the magical world in there.

Hudson was sitting on the bed patiently when a huge glass window opened in front of him. Great, it's finally time, he thought as he stood up and went through the glass door.

Before he knew what was happening, he was standing on a dark corner in Magnitoz City. He walked towards the light and came out of the corner. When he saw that it was the street of the place, he came to the last time he was in the magical world.

Now it’s time for me to look for locals to sell my products to; after that, I will head over to the magical academy, he thought.

Hudson walked down the street hoping that he would see an opportunity for him to start marketing his products, but he knew nothing about the city or the rules, so he didn’t want to do anything that was out of line. As he kept walking down the street, he heard someone scream out his name. "Hudson!" He turned around to look at who it was. It was Atticus. He ambled over to where Atticus was standing, and they both exchanged pleasantries.

"I have been keeping an eye out for you; that lighter stuff you sold to me the other time has been working perfectly without any problems. I have even lent it to a few of my close friends and relatives; they used it and gave it back to me, and it’s still working fine. The magical match would have finished after 4 days, but that lighter stuff you sold me is the best source of fire; it has never finished since the time I bought it," Atticus stated with a smile.

"I am glad you are enjoying my product; I told you it’s better than the magical match," Hudson replied with a smirk. He was happy inside after hearing Atticus review of the lighter. I can’t believe how dumb and far behind this world actually is, he thought.

"I would like to purchase a couple of lighters from you; do you still have them for sale?" Atticus inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, I have," Hudson answered swiftly.

"Alright, let’s go to my shop and conduct the transaction there," Atticus suggested.

Hudson was sitting in front of a counter, while Atticus was sitting behind the counter.

"A couple of my friends wanted me to help them buy the lighter anytime I see you because they all love it and have been fascinated with it ever since I showed it to them and let them use it," Atticus said with a smirk, staring at Hudson.

"So, how many would you like to purchase?" Hudson inquired, raising an eyebrow. He wanted to go straight to business, as he plans on making as much money as he can.

"I want to purchase 10 lighters," Atticus answered bluntly.
