Ch 101. The Duel

As the morning sun triumphantly rises over the horizon, its radiant beams stretch out, meticulously caressing the dew-laden yard outside Sasha’s hut. The golden light breathes life into the landscape, awakening the vibrant colors of the flora, while the warmth dances around each blade of glistening grass.

I stand with my sword in hand, my body sore from the endless hours of sparring with Bree. She watches me, her arms crossed over her chest, a small smirk playing on her lips.

"What's so funny?" I ask, panting slightly.

"You," she says, shaking her head. "You're so determined to win this duel, but you have no idea what you're doing. It's almost cute."

As I stand there with furrowed brows, a sudden twinge of annoyance needles me. It prickles my skin as if an army of ants decided to march across it, transforming a mundane emotion into a vivid, palpable sensation.

"Hey, I'm not that bad," I grumbled.

Bree raises an eyebrow. "Really? Because I could probably beat you blindfolded."
