Chapter 129

Jennifer sprinted away the few feet to Todd’s windowless white van.  Jackson sat next to Todd on the road as his body seemed to have ceased drifting away into the darkness.  The van door slammed shut as Jennifer yanked herself into the driver’s seat.  The van growled and hissed, but it would not fire up.  I had forgotten that the demon that tried to kill me but inadvertently saved me had zapped the hell out of the van and probably fried some pretty serious parts that the van needed to work properly.

Jackson’s head turned quickly as he heard the van struggling to fire up, he knew how serious this was and that we needed the van if there was even the slightest of chances that we would be able to get Todd some help.  It did not take long for him to get there, as he quickly and repetitively smacked the crap out of the painted flaking hood.  Each slap with his hand sent millions of tiny paint particles in the air, a poisonous type of
