Chapter 66

The grown-up demon Jackson had made the mistake of releasing me from the spiked braces, my ankles and wrists were free, well, my one ankle.  The remnant of my left leg had been thrown to the black obsidian office door and rested in all its bloodless glory.  I had no idea that body parts shriveled up and began to decay almost immediately after being removed from its host's blood flow.
