Second attempt

They had one shot, just one clear but they missed it, now the Tang brothers had to fly blind till they got rid of the problem, Ben! What a piece of work. The bomb didn’t kill him, what possibly can? This question haunted the Tang brothers, but then a phone came in.

“Mr. Wu it’s for you…said it’s from the inside.” The servant uttered. He looked please, amidst the bad news Wu actually smiled, is that a grin? Li noticed. What possibly can make Wu smile at this tensed moment? What! Li was still in question.

“Give me something good?” Wu said. Good news! Oh no, he had no idea. “I’m sorry, the brother survived, the brother isn’t dead! Blue lake hospital, third floor, ward 4, finish the job before he finishes you.” the deep voice on the other side concluded cutting the line. Talk of good news! What irony.

“Down the south coast, blue lake hospital, third floor ward 4, finish the man you find, payment when done.” Wu retorted over the phone. He looked glad somehow. He just sent one henchman he posted in Madagascar to finish the job. Failure to which he will be the unfortunate person in Yun Jin’s shoes. Speaking of Yun Jin what happened to him? Well he failed to finish his task and these were the Tang brothers! so it had to come to this. He lay there lifeless, his neck sliced open, down the blue carpet which was soaked in his blood. What a pity he just failed a task, it’s human right? Well with Tang brothers you aren’t human!, so don’t be one.

Li looked at the body, in his hand the pen knife that did the dirty work, “Perfect slice.” he said chuckling as he examined Yun Jin’s corpse. Yun Jin had a family, two children and a diabetic wife, but the Tang brothers didn’t give a hoot that they just murdered a breadwinner, a father. But are they their family? No, so not their problem the man failed the task, no second chances. Talk of being heartless, these were the definition of Lucifer, demons from the in depths of the abyss, cruel heartless creatures!

Leaving the Tang mansion, there’s the henchman Rio, he had one hell of a task. Killing Ben’s brother, that’s nothing short of suicide, an agreement with death. There were two outcomes, one was unavoidable. First, he succeeds, Ben tracks down his family, kills them then comes for him, or secondly, he fails and the Tang brothers kill him but spare his family. Simply put, at the end somebody had to die who it was depended on Rio, it’s either you or him, your choice Rio?

Rio chose Ben, rather try than flee and get hunted like a wild animal, but was it a wise decision? But it doesn’t matters does it, it was he accomplishes or he dies trying!

Poisoning, not a bad idea, orange bark poison would do just right. Not detected by drug tests, perfect cover up, Rio had the idea now came cracking the nutshell. Getting into the hospital and doing the unthinkable, killing a drug lord's brother, God help me! Rio sighed in desperation. Who can blame him, once his done not even God can help him out, literally!

“First, second, third…yes…one, two, three, four…ah! Here it is” Rio sighed in gladness, he made it this far. Dressed as a doctor, a stethoscope around his neck, and a name tag written doctor Kin, who would doubt he was a doctor? Who!, not even Ben would?

There he lay, drippers in his left arm, another crossed over his nose, he seemed unconscious, his holter monitor had the normal pulse rate, there lay Reuben survived death by a whisker, literally a whisker! Slowly he went for the dripper bottle and he injected the orange colored poison, “Good night!” Reuben exclaimed glad he had succeeded.

But Rio had to be sure the poison was taking effect, after some minutes he observed his fingernails, they appeared pale, yes it’s working he consoled himself. Just then the door burst open, the attending nurse came in with the patient’s food. Caught, he decided to play fake, “Yes I think I’ll take my leave” he said rushing for the door. “Aren’t you supposed to be in the theatre?” The nurse asked, she appeared anxious. Rio’s back was at the nurse, he was dumb. “Doctor Kin? What are you doing here, you were supposed to be in the theatre?” She asked again this time moving back, this isn’t the doctor she sensed.

He was trembling, high blood pressure, the holter monitor was off the charts, his temperature was high, he was boiling, Reuben wasn’t okay. That was his cue, Rio made a run for it and immediately the nurse hit the alarm. Reuben was dying, the nurse panicked, she didn’t know what to do. His dying, save him, but how? This guilt gnawed the nurse’s inside thought’s.

“Bring magnesium, five milligrams now!” The head doctor commanded. He knew these signs were effects of the dreaded orange poison. It was the race against time. Just when this commotion was happening, Ben was dragged from his bonding with Brian.

“Clear!” the nurse panicked, she was anxious, she was giving Reuben shocks but still nothing. He was laying motionless, his pulse was reducing. There and then magnesium was injected and boosted by a 5 voltage shock. But still nothing, he had no pulse, the line was straight. “Is he…” Ben couldn’t finish it. No he can’t be, he isn’t de…

“Its done!” Rio said ending his phone call with Wu. He was certain, Reuben was dead!
