9. Shutting Their Mouths

......

......

"Oh, I feel a warm sensation in my stomach!" exclaimed Old Man Allen as Aarav, using his divine powers, transformed the ordinary herbs into a miraculous elixir during the digestion process.

Earlier, the soup Aarav gave to old man Allen was just made from regular herbs. However, once Aarav used his divine powers, the soup transformed into a miraculous elixir.

Old man Allen could tell that the effect right after drinking the soup, the medicine was strengthening and healing his liver; he could feel the change happening inside him.

"I can only do this much for now. You'll need two more treatments to be completely cured," Aarav said, exhaling as he withdrew his hands from the old man's back.

Maya, with a skeptical look, scoffed, "Grandpa, we're really trusting this charlatan? I can't believe you're falling for his act."

One of the men accompanying Maya chimed in, "This place is a joke. I bet he's not even a real doctor. Who treats patients in such a dump?"

Another man added with a smirk, "I heard his sister is dying. Probably concocted this whole show to get some sympathy treatments."

Maya, giving Aarav a disdainful look, continued, "Grandpa, are you sure about this? We should take you to a real doctor, not rely on this quack."

The first man who came with Maya sneered once again, "Your 'treatment' looks like a scam, Master Vasudeva. I wouldn't trust this place with my pet, let alone my health."

Aarav, feeling the weight of their mockery and scorn, bit back his frustration.

But Aarav waited for Old Man Allen's reaction as he was sure the results would be enough to shut their mouths.

Old man Allen stood up straight, laughing with joy as he felt his body brimming with energy.

Aarav cautioned him, "It's temporary. The fullness will fade later, but you won't feel any pain in your body for now."

"Thank you, young man! I haven't felt this good in a while!" Old man Allen expressed his gratitude, holding Aarav's hands as if he were a savior.

"Grandpa... is this really happening?" Maya stared at her grandpa in shock.

"Yes, dear. I feel amazing! Hahaha! No pain, no aches anywhere!" Allen replied happily, striking cool poses to show his granddaughter.

"Oh my god, you're really okay, Grandpa!" Maya realized her grandpa had been standing without any support for a while now.

After the initial excitement settled, Old Man Allen thanked Aarav once again. Maya also expressed her gratitude, apologizing for her previous rude behavior.

"Please take this, the password is six zeroes. It's our way of saying thanks for curing my grandpa!" Maya handed a card to Aarav, sharing the password.

"No, I can't accept this. Your grandpa isn't fully cured yet, and he still needs treatment!" Aarav shook his head, trying to give the card back to her.

"Please, young man! Accept this as our way of thanking you for treating me and as an apology for my granddaughter's rude attitude. Otherwise, I might think you haven't forgiven her!" Old man Allen insisted, putting Aarav in a difficult position.

"Alright then, I appreciate your gratitude and accept the apology," Aarav replied with a wry smile as he took the card.

"Please share your contact number so I can arrange for Grandpa's next treatment pickup!" Maya Vasudeva spoke in a soft and respectful tone, a complete shift from her earlier attitude.

As the people around, including Aarav's colleagues and rivals, witnessed the surprising success of Aarav's treatment, the clinic was filled with exaggerated reactions.

One rival doctor, unable to accept what he was seeing, muttered in disbelief, "This is absurd! There's no way that worked."

Another rival, equally skeptical, refused to believe what was unfolding, saying, "I don't buy it. It's probably some trickery. No real doctor can do this."

Aarav's colleague, who had belittled him before, now wore an expression as if he hadn't woken up from a dream, "Am I dreaming? Did Aarav actually succeed?"

Another colleague, holding his head in shock, muttered, "I can't wrap my head around it. It's like a scene from a fantasy movie."

Aarav, amidst the exaggerated disbelief of onlookers, maintained his composure.

He just shook his head at Maya Vasudeva's change of attitude, shared his contact info, and scheduled for pickup the next day.

"Hahaha! Young man, I forgot to ask your name before you leave," Old man Vasu chuckled awkwardly before they departed.

"It's Aarav... Aarav Veridian, Mr. Vasu. See you later!" Aarav smiled, waving at them.

As they drove away, Aarav returned to finish his work before heading to his wife's family.

In the car,

Old man Vasu had a surprised expression, realizing he never mentioned his name to the talented young man.

"Huh, what are you talking about?" Maya Vasudeva asked with a confused expression.

"Hahaha! Dear, it seems that young man, Aarav Veridian, isn't just an ordinary guy," Allen shared with his granddaughter.

Maya, looking at the card Aarav had reluctantly accepted earlier, scoffed, "Well, Grandpa, he might be good at tricks, but I doubt his abilities as a real doctor."

The man who accompanied Maya added, "Yeah, young Miss Maya, this Veridian guy probably swindled Master Vasudeva. We shouldn't have trusted him."

Old man Vasu, despite the doubts from Maya and the driver, wore a thoughtful expression, "Maya, sometimes talents are hidden in unexpected places. Let's see what Aarav Veridian can do for me tomorrow."

Maya crossed her arms, still skeptical, "I hope you know what you're doing, Grandpa. We might end up regretting this."

Allen chuckled, "Dear, life is full of surprises. Aarav Veridian might just be the one who surprises us pleasantly."

In the distance, Aarav continued his work at the clinic, unaware of the skepticism and doubt swirling in the minds of those he had just treated.

......

"Ahh, I finally made it to this hellhole," Aarav muttered as he entered the Rossi family estate, and by the time he arrived, it was already noon.

"Well, well, look who decided to show up! Did you get lost on your way here? Took you two days," a sharp, sarcastic remark greeted him as he stepped into the hall.

"No, I had an accident, and I needed time to recover..." Aarav began explaining his reason for being late but got interrupted by another sharp remark.

"Accident? Where are your injuries then? Just making excuses for being late. I've told you to quit that useless job so you won't find reasons to slack off!"
