chapter 7 : stronger again

"What did he say? Is he okay!?" Julia asked her mother anxiously after seeing tears streaming from Angela's eyes.

Angela wiped her tears and placed the phone on the table. "He's not coming back! He said he won't return home..." She couldn't hold back her tears from falling once again.

Julia sighed in relief because nothing bad had happened to Michael.

Unlike her mother, she was glad that Michael had made this decision. She had been encouraging him to leave home and become independent because she saw that he was being pressured too much.

She stepped forward, hugged her mother, and began patting her back.

"Once again... another son has left," Angela whispered weakly.

"All because of that man. He made my life a living hell ! , You're the reason I'm still with him, and I haven't asked for a divorce yet !! "

"Why !? Just Why did he become like this!?" she exclaimed.

Julia remained silent, simply listening to her devastated mother's words.

Meanwhile, Michael put his phone in his pocket.

He knew his mother would likely be saddened by this decision, but as he thought about it carefully and remembered the advice of that old man Musa and the advice of kole, he made a decision.

He wouldn't return home until he became someone his mother could be proud of, someone who could ignore the harsh criticisms from his father. He put that matter aside for now.

Currently, he was standing on the rooftop of one of the buildings.

The ministry had halted the construction process due to the discovery that the head laborer was cheating and using low-quality materials, especially since the area had been experiencing frequent earthquakes in recent years.

He stared into the void in front of him with eager eyes, or rather, he gazed at the hidden interface that no one else in this world could see.

[Name: Michael Edmond

He stared at the system interface with excitement and a hint of confusion. "I have seven points... but I'm confused ! , Should I add one point to each attribute, or should I increase one attribute like I did with strength?"

Suddenly, memories of one of Professor Ibrahim's lectures, in which he talked about imbalances in traits leads to the emergence of diseases and dysfunction in the body's functions, appeared in Michael's mind.

He looked at the seven traits and thought,

"I remember Professor Ibrahim once said in one of his lectures that imbalanced traits contribute to the emergence of diseases and dysfunction in the body's functions."

"So, the first option is correct, balancing the traits," he concluded.

He focused on the traits, excluding the strength trait, and added one point to the six traits. A burning heat emerged from deep within his body, and Michael felt as if the water inside him was evaporating.

However, he was not concerned about this. Instead, he was immersed in the feeling of unknown power flowing throughout his body, working to enhance his various traits. He felt the muscles in his body swell and then contract to a smaller size. This process continued for a full ten minutes.

He felt a tremendous amount of vitality flowing through his veins. When his body finally finished transforming, it was time for his brain. Michael felt his mind becoming clear, and his thinking became quick and smooth.

Fortunately, Max had not arrived yet , otherwise, he would have been undoubtedly shocked to see the imposing mirage that appeared behind Michael's body.

A deep blue wolf eyes were filled with awe and hidden killer intent. Finally, after about half an hour, the process came to an end.

"My speed, strength, senses, and my stamina have all reached a completely different level compared to before, even if it was just a one-point increase. If I were to face that vampire again, I fear he wouldn't be able to withstand me for ten seconds," Michael said. This statement was not arrogance but an absolute truth.

He now had four times the strength and double the speed and stamina of an ordinary human.

"I think my current speed is about 20 meters per second..." he muttered while adjusting his clothes.

Just as he was about to test it out, he stopped when he noticed that Max had arrived at the scene. He raised his hand and waved at him.

"I just hope he believes this lie," Michael thought as he stared at his close friend.

...

"Hey, you jerk! You scared me to death! I thought the Blue Pill gang did something to you!" Max spoke as soon as he arrived at the scene.

Michael shook his hand and asked bewilderedly, "The Blue Pill gang? Why? Why would this gang...?"

Michael stopped halfway through his sentence, his eyes narrowed, and he said in suspicion, "Max, don't tell me that vampire is a member of the gang!?"

Max nodded his head. "Yes, he's from the gang, and he seems to have a high position. You know that the Blue Pill gang controls the underworld. They also monopolize the drug trade and weapons..."

"I learned some little information about them when I was working in the bar. Every normal member of the gang has a tattoo of a blue pill on their neck. This represents their identity. They belong to the Blue Pill Gang. But the members in the higher ranks have the same tattoo but on their left arm. Yesterday I noticed that That vampire has that tattoo."

Michael's facial expressions changed. "Man! Are you serious!? Did we kill a member of that gang!?..."

"Why are you so nervous!? There's no way for them to know it was us. Even the body has decomposed..."

"Man, I'm not worried about me. Yesterday, you saw with your own eyes what I'm capable of. I'm worried about my family. I mean, my mother and sister. If that gang they find out..."

"Just calm down. I told you there's no evidence to discover us. And what about that power!? I can't believe, man, that you managed to defeat a vampire..."

Michael sighed and gestured for Max to sit on the ground.

"Do you remember that little incident I told you about almost twelve days ago when I went hunting in the forest and found a small wolf wandering near me?"

Max nodded. "Yes, I remember. You told me that the wolf playfully scratched your right arm with its claws. You didn't seem interested in going to the doctor, and you said the wound would heal quickly."

Michael sighed in his heart. He didn't want to lie to his only friend like this, but the presence of the system was one of his biggest and most important secrets now.

He adjusted his facial expressions and said with an excited and fearful tone, "Well, I have something amazing and terrifying to tell you. After we fought a real vampire last night and witnessed his extraordinary strength and speed, I realized something astonishing. I believe that wolf wasn't ordinary ,it was a werewolf, and it turned me into one of them..."

Max's eyes widened, and he said in a shocked voice, "What are you saying?! Are you joking with me? How is that even possi..?"

He paused midway through his words, calming down as he remembered that he had almost died from a vampire that he believed only existed in myths. So, accepting the idea of the existence of werewolves wasn't too far-fetched. It was just the idea of his friend turning into one of them that worried him, as he recalled the movies and novels he had seen about werewolves. Despite their supernatural strength, they had a deadly and dangerous weakness—the full moon!

"Forget about it. I called you to discuss a serious matter!"

Max nodded his head, not demanding an explanation. Everyone has their secrets, and he was grateful that Michael shared this with him and didn't hide it.

"I guess you already know! Yesterday..."
