Time To Find The Lost Child!

"I swear I'll kill him". Hendrick wandered restlessly in the living room, while other stood watching him. "I declare war as well".

"What?". Vladimir said.

"We can't declare war, Hendrick!". Jonas replied.

"Jonas is right.. it's better if we don't react to Marius' stupid declaration". Brett nodded.

"We cannot sit and let them destroy us, yes?". Hendrick said angrily.

"Uncle, we cannot do anything now that they have occupied our areas and that we have a mole". Venturo said politely.

"What should we do then, young man?". Hendrick asked.

"We should..". Venturo looked at his Mother. She nodded at him. "We should try to work on our weaknesses, find the mole and now we have another responsibility.. If Marius finds your daughter, he'll kill her and The Lombardis will be no more".

"Responsibility?". Hendrick tried to figure out what his nephew said. "You mean, we should find Rhea?".

"Exactly, we should find her and bring her here so that she remains safe. Marius is a clever guy, if he finds Rhea before WE do, I don't think he'll kill her immediately.. he'll use her". Venturo explained.

"And?".

"And if we find her, she'll turn 28 on August 19, one day after me and she'll be worthy of becoming your heiress. We desperately need the next leader. Otherwise, the Vampires will be swept out of these areas_ forever". Venturo added.

"Ugh, I wish Ginger had told us about the reality". Hendrick grunted and sat on the couch. "Jonas?".

"Yes, Hendrick?". Jonas moved forwards.

"I want you to look after the areas we are left with, keep them under your security". He ordered.

"As you wish". Jonas nodded.

"Good, now leave, we don't have enough time to waste". He said.

Jonas turned around and left.

"Brett, increase the number of Guardians around the house. Go to the Vampires and make sure they're okay, if they have any doubts about the current situation, reassure them". Hendrick said.

"Your wish is my command, Hendrick". Brett nodded and left.

"Venturo, you'll go to the city and find my daughter". Hendrick looked at his nephew.

"Me?". Venturo was surprised.

"Yes, you". He gave a nod. "I know I can trust you".

Venturo smiled and nodded.

"Vladimir, come to the meeting room with me, let's talk about the traitor". He stood up. Vladimir gave a nod to Sarah and Venturo and followed his brother.

"I love the starry sky, Mother". Venturo smiled at the black canvas covered in stars as he laid on his head on his Mother's lap in his room's balcony.

"The sky was just like tonight on the night you were born, son". Sarah combed his hair with her fingers.

"Tell me more about it". He asked.

"That was the most blessed day of my life when you were born, Venturo.. my life filled with colors and you became a reason for which I lived". She replied.

"Why don't I have siblings, Mother?". Venturo questioned.

"I don't have an answer to that!". Sarah chuckled.

"No! Seriously..". He sat up, looking at his Mother. "I get jealous when I see how Natalie and Adam get along.. I wish I had a sister too".

"No one ever thought that you'll grow up alone.. everyone thought that you'll grow up along with Rhea.. but then she went away". Sarah told sadly. "She was so beautiful, Venturo".

"Oh really? Did she resembled Uncle Hendrick or was she like Aunt Abigail?". He asked. He seemed to love knowing about his cousin.

"Her eyes.. were like.. your uncle. They were like an ocean in which one can drown". Sarah looked up at the sky. "Her dimpled cheeks and chin were also like Hendrick. Only thing which resembled Abigail was her smile.. she smiled in the most beautiful way, Venturo. I wonder how she's like these days. She might be a head turner for sure. I wish I had a daughter too".

Venturo thought something for a while. "How am I supposed to find her, Mother?".

"That is your headache! A great warrior never questions. He already knows everything and builds his strategies himself". Sarah smiled.

He gave a nod in understandment. "I'll start my search from tomorrow morning, Is Father free?".

"He's still with Hendrick in the meeting room". Sarah told.

"Hmm". Venturo looked down. "I'll go hunting, wanna come?". He stood up.

"I'll join you when your Father's meeting is over". Sarah replied.

"Okay, then". He stood up and flew away in the night.

The morning of the next day was missionary for Venturo. He had to find the lost child, the next leader.

Ross quietly closed the door, not making even a slightest sound.

"Hey!". Rosalie's Mother came to him.

Ross interrupted her with a shush. "Shh! She's in a deep sleep you might wake her up".

"Okay". She quietly made her way to Ross. "Is she not going to the hospital?". She whispered.

"I took a day off for her. But if any of her patients need her, I'll tell you, wake her up and send her right away". Ross said.

"Hmm, the breakfast's ready, by the way". She said.

It was half past two in the noon when Rosalie woke up from the sleep. She sat up on the bed, surprised and confused. "What am I doing at Daddy's place? And why am I not at the hospital?". She asked herself. Then the events of the last day and a busy night flashed her mind. "No! No! No! I should head to the hospital!". She pushed the blanket away and went into the bathroom.

Rosalie came running downstairs, wearing clean clothes and her lab coat.

She heard two women chatting in the drawing room.

"Mommy?". She went inside.

The women looked at her. "Rosalie! You're up!". Her Mother said.

"Yes, you should've woken me up". She replied a bit angrily. "My patients would be waiting".

"Your Daddy took a day off for you, you were exhausted, dear". Her Mother replied.

"Oh Mommy! You shouldn't have!". She responded as she sat beside her Mother annoyingly. "My patients will be waiting for me and Kian's also not here these days".

"You should rest for a day, dear.. don't be so hard on yourself". The other woman said.

"My patients are my first priority, Aunt Abigail". Rosalie sighed.

Abigail was Rosalie's Mother's best friend and because her Mother's friendship with her, Rosalie was friends with Abigail's daughter, Vivian.

"Yes but you should look after yourself as well". Her Mother said.

"Vivian is on a leave too". Abigail added.

"Why? I mean, she should be at the hospital!". Rosalie was surprised.

"She was tired too, so I asked her to take a leave". Abigail replied.

"Vivian is careless, but I'm not!". Rosalie stood up.

"Rosalie! Is this the way to talk?". Her Mother was shocked at the tone she used.

"I'm clearly offended that you did this, Mommy. And I didn't said anything wrong, Aunt Abigail.. I'm not Vivian and she would never get offended if she comes to know what I said because she knows herself quite well". Rosalie adjusted her clothes.

"I know, dear". Abigail looked at the ground.

"I'm leaving Mommy.. and for what you did, I won't hang out with you people this weekend". She said to her Mother and left without saying goodbye.

"Just forget about the whole thing, Bianca.. she's just a young girl". Abigail consoled her friend. "At times Vivian acts the same. I ignore it.. why don't you send her on a blind date or something? Because she's single, she has nothing to do but to be at the hospital".

"I don't know.. she has a crush on Kian but is reluctant to confess". Bianca rubbed her temples.

"Oh? For how long?".

"Since High school". Bianca said. "Please don't mention it in front if her.. it's only ME who knows, she didn't event told Vivian".

"Your secret's safe with me, Bianca, don't worry". Abigail said.

Rosalie made her way to the emergency to check on the patient. The old man who got a head injury and the pregnant woman, both were doing okay.

She came out to go to the neurology department to check on Susan when Doctor Benji blocked her way.

"What are you doing at the hospital, Rose?". He asked.

"What does a doctor do at a hospital, Benji?". Rosalie smiled.

"No, I was told that you're on a leave". Benji scratched his neck.

"Daddy didn't wanted me to come to the hospital.. but I was worried about the patients". Rosalie said.

"That's one of the thousand thing I like about you". He chuckled. "Always so responsible".

"Why are you here? You worked double shift, right?". She questioned.

"Let's say, you and I are just the same!". He said.

"Hmm". She was about to say something when her stomach grumbled.

"Ha! Don't tell me you fought with your Mother for not waking you up!". Benji let out a laugh.

"And I didn't had breakfast, yeah ". Rosalie nodded.

"Let's go to the cafeteria then, I didn't had dinner last night AND I wasn't even allowed to have a cup of coffee in the morning". Benji placed his hand on the small of her back and led her out.

After having a cup of coffee and some sandwiches for breakfast, Rosalie headed to the ward to check on Susan. She opened the door of her room and smiled as she saw her laughing and chatting with the nurses.

"Hey! Good Morning, Susan". She said.

"Hello, Doctor.. I was waiting for you". Susan replied.

"How do you feel?". Rosalie asked.

"I'm feeling great". She told.

"Wow! I'm glad to hear that!". Rosalie checked her file and gave a nod. "There are a few more tests we have to run today so that we can determine your health".

"I have no objections, I didn't thought being in a hospital could be so fun, honestly! The nurses are so friendly and Doctors? They're the best!". She winked at Rosalie.

"Betty will take you out after a while, okay?". Rosalie said.

"Okay, thank you so much, Doctor Rosalie". Susan thanked.

"No need to say that.. it's my duty". Rosalie smiled and left the room.

As she walked towards the exit of the hospital, she saw the door of her friend, Doctor Kian's room slightly opened. She went in to see.

"Kian! You're back!". She exclaimed as she saw him standing in the middle of the room.

"Rosalie!". Kian threw his arms in the air.

She ran at him and hugged him tightly. "You told me you'll stay there another week".

"That was a lie.. I wanted to surprise... You". Kian looked away.

"I'm really happy to see you again, Kian". Rosalie said.

"I know!". Kian kissed on her cheek. She blushed crimson red and looked down.

The door opened and Vivian stepped inside. "Hey, guys!".

Rosalie turned to see her. "You were on leave!".

"Mom told that you were angry at me that I didn't came to the hospital". Vivian said.

"Ugh.. yeah". Rosalie replied.

"No need to feel sorry, I'm feeling guilty that I left my patients unchecked". Vivian chuckled.

Rosalie was about to open her mouth to say something when her phone rang.

"Hi, Amy!". She picked up the call. Before she could say something else to greet her, the girl on the call started yelling at her. "I _ okay, I'm coming home, Amy". She said. "Ugh.. quiet! I'm on my way".

She hung the call up.

"Sorry guys.. gotta go, my roomie is furious that I wasn't home the whole day and night". She placed her phone in her handbag.

"Yeah yeah, OTHER FRIENDS". Kian scoffed.

"Guys! You're my besties, It's just that I've spent seven years living with Amy, so we're close". Rosalie replied.

"We understand!". Kian said dramatically. "Now go, otherwise, she'll rip you into pieces".

"See you at night.. Rosalie..". Vivian said.

"At my place". Kian added.

"Okay". She smiled and went out of the room.

As she was about to close the room door, she heard Kian and Vivian talking. "Gosh, I missed you so much". Kian said.

"I missed your kisses". Vivian replied.

Rosalie's brows furrowed. Her heart sank at what she heard. Amused, she ran away.
