The next day, Scarlett and her mom are eating breakfast when a knock is heard on the entrance door of their apartment, it sounds so authoritative that it scares the life out of them. Before they wouldn't be really scared because they had money but now they are left with barely nothing to survive, just a little sound scared them. Susan sends Scarlett to go see who are on the door. She walks silently for fear of being heard, tiptoeing at certain points, careful not to collide with any object that will produce sound. She wants it to seem like no one is at home in case it's a danger she wouldn't open the door. As she reaches the tinted windows from outside, a loud sigh escapes her throat. She didn't intend the cops hearing but one of them did. "Who just sighed, will you open this door or we will knock it down!" A feminine voice sounds. She thought they were all males, her mom descends to come see what's going on. When she realizes they are cops, tension rises up in her chest. She b
Jack Robert's enthusiasm in getting more information from Frank shows in the way he takes additional notes himself despite the fact that his secretary is going on with his job perfectly. He can't afford to miss a single detail. He clears his throat, then looks up to Frank. "How many guys did you take with you to attack Eric?" "I took about four and we used a helicopter to navigate while another car was down. The essence of the helicopter was to distract them, we flew midway and when they looked up, we used this chance to attack." When the helicopter had passed with his lights flashing, Eric had been so focused that he lost track of his consciousness and the same occurred with Mike. Jack shakes his head with so much disbelief. He didn't believe that one of Hollywood's favorite actors would do this. After gathering all the details of the attack and sending it to the headquarters for permission to forward the trial, he got Frank reprimanded at the correctional facility, the prison
In the evening, Raine makes sure she has completed all her chores. After confirming this, she goes to Eric who has been discharged from the hospital. She knocks at the door of his room and a 'come in' order is made from the inside. "Yes sir, I'm done with my chores. I came to inform you that I'm going out, today is my free day." "So who is going to take care of Mako?" He asks tactically without even looking up. Who is going to take care of Mako? Raine rethinks, she is puzzled by the mood and tone Eric responded to her. Eric hasn't ever said this to her before. She swallows the lump in her throat. "I think he will need to stay with Miss Pat as he has always stayed each time I go out. It's in my job agreement to always go out and have a cool time during these free days." "Who made that law?" He asks her. "You, of course." Raine replies with confidence. "Then if it's me that made it, I can also amend it and cancel the free days." "Then with all due respect sir, I'll leave th
Eric is downcasted at the thought of allowing Raine to leave the estate to have a date with another guy. Is she just going out to have fun alone? No, it isn't. I'm sure I heard her talk to that guy over the phone about the proposed date. He sighs, walks over to the curtains of his room and looks outside, the early night sky is over the horizon with a few count of stars. He bends over the edge of the platform close to the window. "I wonder who the guy is? Look at how beautifully she was dressed for the date?" He asks himself. Then he rises from the platform and walks back to his bed. He had watched from the CCTV camera monitor in his room as Raine closed her door and walked to the elevator, in the elevator and even down, out of the street. He has unseen cameras all over the walls on the street which relates all that is happening to the security monitor system inside. He wants to sleep and forget about losing Raine but he just can't. He wasn't due for discharge as he was still rec
"I don't know the direction she is in but I'll use my phone." His phone is capable of doing all these. Each step closer shows on the screen and each step farther is also disclosed, with this, he traces his way until he finds her seated with a young, slender guy with a handsome face and good-looking stature. Jealousy seizes him. A waitress comes to welcome him and asks him to take a seat. He was confused on where to sit whether close to Raine and her partner or farther away but where he can still sight her. Having no choice, he takes his place at the next available table with two seats. His information officer takes a seat opposite him. Ten members of his security team all dressed in black suits take their seats not too far from Eric. Their bills would be sponsored by him and their duty is for them to monitor where he is sitting, as bodyguards ought to do. Meals are ordered to Eric's table and the other tables where his security men have occupied. "Sir, for how long are we staying
Eric at once senses that Raine is in danger when he sees the car turn towards the bush track; he knows fully well that there is no path to the estate. At once he signals his security team to move in front and stop the car through his IO, Brian. Heeding to the order, they drive past Eric's and head towards that which Raine is, upon reaching the bush track, they force their way through both sides of the bush to overtake Nico's car. He realizes he has been trapped, he pulls out his gun to shoot but before he could execute this, Eric's men are already at him. Two of them point their guns at him asking him to surrender or risk being shot. Now to avoid placing Raine in danger, another steps up and opens the car door so she can get out of the car in case they shoot. Raine is grateful for this aid, she takes a breath of relief as she realizes it's Eric's men. The next thing they do is to order Nico out of the car. One of them gets into the car and reverses. "Take him right into the car."
"Hello son, where are you now? How are you doing?" "Dad, I'm doing fine but something is amidst." Carlos' heart skips hearing this. He thinks it has to do with Eric. "What is it?" His tone becomes panicky. "Raine almost got kidnapped by a ritualist whom she unknowingly went out on a date with today if not that I had the sense to follow her." "Oh my God!" Carlos exclaims. His adrenaline flies to their peaks. "Oh my God!" He repeats. "What is just happening? I can't get a clue. Why are things happening like this?" "Dad after coming back from the hospital, I heard her making a call with this same guy, she was talking about the date. She didn't know I was right behind her. I tried to stop her from going afterwards but she didn't listen to me. I said, ``Well, she doesn't want to listen to me, I'll let her go but I'll follow her." "Did you know that he was a ritualist before now?" Carlos asks. "No, I didn't. I wasn't following her because I had the insight that she would be att
Eric is battling with the troubles that have befallen him when another one drops. It's time to say no for him, time to rise and make sure all ill events no longer happen. As he was coping with his recovery, planned assassination and Raine's attempted ritual case, his wife brings a court summon for him. He is chilling out the afternoon after a glass of wine when a car drives into the estate. He had been told about her coming, and an electronic card for identification by the security system of the gate had been sent to her. "What's she coming to do?" Carlos had asked when Eric told him this. He sensed it might be concerning her son or she was seeking Eric's help especially as she had been rendered jobless. Carlos remembered the conversation he had with Leo and how he brought a possible court sue by Scarlett, he remembers all those but he isn't sure of which she is coming so he told his grandson to update him on whatever happens. He is always there to support him. Eric on his own wo
