Expensive things

Linda walked into the elevator with the receptionist. The top floor button was smashed and they were on the move. The elevator was quite transparent, so Linda could see beyond.

Her eyes were stuck on Harrison, but this time the hate in her eyes was replaced with the thought of how she was going to get him fired soon after she got the contract.

Just then, she took out some powder from her bag and retouched her makeup. Her little encounter with him had made her sweat to the point that most of the markup was wearing off.

The receptionist who was with her could only sigh. Though she thought if she was in Linda's shoes, she would do the same.

However, the door came open, and they walked into a vast office that had so many paintings on the wall. Each cost not less than a million, leaving Linda’s mouth almost dropping to the floor.

That was the first time she had been there, but she had taken a liking to the place already. All the expensive things were just her kind of thing.
