Legal team

Harrison's face went dark upon hearing what Caroline said. What the hell was happening? He was sure that someone was behind it.

"Young master, what's wrong?" Ramon frowned seeing Harrison's expression.

"Someone is trying to demolish my house saying it needs to undergo a renovation." Harrison frowned as he rushed out of the office.

"Young Master, I'll drive you over," Ramon said hurriedly as he followed Harrison out of the office.

Harrison didn't deny it and patiently waited for Ramon even though he was quite anxious as he didn't know what was happening.

In no time, Ramon came over with a car, and immediately, Harrison got in and off to his house. Since Ramon had taken Harrison home the day before, there was no need for Harrison to direct him or tell him the location.

---

"You can't demolish this building, it's been here for more than fifteen years." Caroline frowned as he looked at the man in the tractor who had a grin on his face.

"That's one of the reasons for me to destroy it, the government wants to rebuild it." The man sneered showing his rows of yellow teeth.

"No, you can't." Caroline stood stubbornly in front of the tractor.

She was not a fool, she knew that it was someone who had paid the driver some money to come do this which was why she had called Harrison.

Besides, there would be no place for them to live once the building was demolished, and they would be left homeless. Besides, her husband might get fired from the new job which would worry her greatly.

She hoped he would be able to take a quick excuse from work so he would be able to come to solve the problem.

Even though she knew that Harrison might not be able to deal with it, at least, there was still some hope. She has to do something.

"Woman, get out of my way or else I don't mind taking you down with the building." The man sneered as he started the excavator.

"No, you can't, this building has no issues," Caroline yelled as she felt like she was going out of her mind.

"Come stop me, you can." The man sneered, not bothering to listen to Caroline's complaint.

"I'll call the legal team on you if you don't stop right away," Caroline yelled at the top of her voice.

"Legal team?" The man sneered.

"I'll be long gone before they arrive, I can just tell them that there's a fault with the building, do you think they'll listen to someone like you who doesn't know anything about it." The man chuckled.

Dark lines appeared on Michelle's face hearing the man's words, he was right, there was nothing she would be able to do even if she called the legal team. She might even be at fault.

At this moment, she knew she was out of hope and would have to try to convince the man, or else, the house would be demolished.

Vroom!

Suddenly a car drove into the scene and immediately, Caroline rushed towards the car thinking it was Harrison. But unfortunately, it was Stephen who came down from the car with a frown on his face.

"What's wrong, why is there an excavator in front of your building?" Stephen's frown deepened as he stared at Michelle.

At first, Michelle was surprised and wondered how Stephen had gotten to know that their house was about to be demolished. But then his questions had thrown her off guard.

"He just came and said there's a fault with the building and it had to be demolished." Caroline frowned as she explained to Stephen.

"I see," Stephen frowned as he walked towards the excavator.

"Hey!" He called out loudly to the driver.

"I heard you want to demolish this building, what's wrong with it?"

"Sir, I was contacted by the legal team that something is wrong with this building and that it needed to be demolished or else it could kill a lot of people." The man replied rather politely.

Caroline's face darkened upon hearing what the man had said. Just now, he had been speaking rather rudely to her, but now he was very respectful toward Stephen. What kind of twisted logic was that?

"I see," Stephen muttered.

"Go on then, I won't disturb your work." Stephen continued as he turned around to face Caroline.

Caroline's mouth twitched violently hearing what Stephen had said. He was supposed to help her, and yet, he was saying he wouldn't disturb the man's work.

"Sister, you heard what he just said, I can't disrupt his work so I'll suggest you just go back to the villa with me, it's quite big and we can all live together as one big family." Stephen smiled.

"What do you think you're saying?" Caroline frowned as she stared at Stephen.

"Yeah sister, you just have to come back and live with us, the villa is very big." Stephen smiled as he looked at Caroline.

"I think you are nuts." Caroline frowned as she stared at Stephen.

"Sis, I'm helpless," Stephen sighed. But then a glint flashed in his eyes as a smirk appeared on it.

Vroom!

Just then, a car drove into the scene stopping right beside the car Smith came with.

Next, the door opened and Harrison rushed out of the car alongside Ramon who had a frown on his face.

"Brother in-law here you are." Stephen smiled as he stepped forward.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Harrison frowned, he was not a fool, he knew that the matter was not as simple as it had been on the surface.

"Harrison, that man in the excavator suddenly came and wanted to put down the house saying the legal team said there was a problem with it." Caroline frowned as she walked forward to meet Harrison.

"Hey, get the fuck out of here." Harrison frowned as he yelled at the truck driver.

"Who the fuck do you think you are? Get the hell out of my way, I have to pull down this house or else I won't bear my name again." The man sneered.

Harrison furrowed his brows as he stared at the man who was acting stubbornly. Just now, he had noticed the subtle action of Stephen giving out orders to the man.

He was not a fool and knew that Stephen was involved in what was happening. From his guess, Stephen must have paid the man to come pull down the building.

Then he came on the pretext of trying to help them which was very annoying to Harrison who found Stephen to be an idiot.

"Stephen, tell your man to stop." Harrison frowned as he turned to face Stephen.

"Brother-in-law, what are you talking about, I don't know about it." Stephen frowned as he looked at Harrison.

"Are you sure you are innocent?" Harrison frowned, he wasn't interested in bickering with an idiot.

"Yeah, believe me, brother-in-law. Even though we fought this morning, I'm not so petty as to do that." Stephen smiled.

"Since that's the case, we'll see." Harrison smiled and walked over to Ramon whispering something into the latter's ear.

Immediately, the latter took out his phone and went away to make a call. After about ten minutes, he was back with a smile on his face.

"Young Master, it's all done." Ramon smiled.

"Stephen, you'll be regretting it soon if you don't ask your man to stop." Harrison frowned as he looked at the excavator which was Now very close to the building and was on the verge of starting the demolition.

"Brother-in-law, allow the legal department to do their work, I don't have any hands in it." Stephen sneered, his attitude undergoing a 360° change.

"We'll see then," Harrison smirked as he watched.

Caroline on the other hand was shivering while looking at the scene, what the hell was happening? Wasn't Harrison going to do something? Even though she knew that he was going to act, she still couldn't help but get apprehensive.

Ring! Ring!

Just then Stephen's phone rang, making all attention turn on him. Stephen frowned as he looked at the caller's ID and wondered why his mother was calling him.

"I believe it's your mother, pick it up and see what she has to say." Harrison smiled.

Stephen's curiosity peaked hearing Harrison's words and immediately picked up the phone. But soon his expression changed to hearing his mother's voice from the other end.

"Stop, don't pull down that building!" Stephen screamed at the top of his voice as he rushed madly toward the excavator which was about to start pulling down the building.
