Played well

"I don't think it'll be appropriate to stop at this time, I think you should just let him do his work." Harrison chuckled.

"You..." Stephen turned around as he gritted his teeth glaring at Harrison.

"You're not a dog brother-in-law, it's not good for you to brush your teeth in that manner." Harrison laughed.

"Hey, stop what you are doing right now!" Stephen continued to yell ignoring Harrison as he ran towards the excavator.

"Are you sure he'll hear your screams, it'll be better if you just go and watch." Harrison continued, not being bothered by Stephen who had ignored him.

"Hey stop!" Stephen continued to yell as he ran towards the excavator, he had to do all in his power to make sure he didn't pull down the building.

Just now, his mother had called him that there was a team of excavators in their villa wanting to pull it down as they claimed that the legal team asked them to do it and that something was wrong with the building.

Even though his mother just asked him to hurry up and come stop the people who wanted to pull down their house, he wasn't a fool, at that moment, he knew it was Harrison behind everything.

But how the hell was he able to pull that off so quickly? There was something fishy he just couldn't put his fingers on. But no matter how much he thought, he just couldn't get an answer which was why he was trying to stop the man from pulling down the building.

He was sure Harrison would ask the men who had gone to pull down the villa to stop as long as he was able to stop this man. But then, Harrison was truly bad luck, he was just too good at playing.

Was he a useless son-in-law who had been bullied by him over the years? Well, it was none of his business, all he wanted was to make sure he stopped the man from pulling down the building.

Besides, many questions were running through his mind, how the hell was Harrison able to get away from work? Well, this seemed like another chance, he was going to report him to Sterling Co-operation that he was skipping work. But first, he had to resolve the issue in front of him.

"Hey stop,!" Stephen yelled hurriedly as he came back to his senses.

And he was in luck this time as the man driving the excavator heard him and stopped the excavator from pulling down the building.

"Hey, I just received a call from the legal team, they said it was a mistake and that I wasn't supposed to pull down the house, you lucky." The man driving the excavator snorted as he reversed the excavator leaving the scene without causing a single damage to the house.

A wicked smile appeared on Harrison's lips hearing what the man said as he watched him leave arrogantly. Michelle on the other hand couldn't help but sigh in relief even though she didn't understand what was happening, all she knew was that the house was not pulled down.

"Now that I have successfully stopped the man from pulling down the building would you withdraw your men from my house?" Stephen snorted arrogantly as he walked back to Harrison.

"Stop his men from your house?" Caroline frowned as she replied even before Harrison could say anything feeling confused as she just couldn't understand what Stephen was saying.

First, he had come and said he had no way to help, but all of a sudden when Harrison arrived, Stephen received a phone call and his attitude underwent a 360° change and now he was trying to spout nonsense.

"Well, I'm guessing you're not as lucky as me then." Harrison shrugged as he turned around.

"What do you mean?" Stephen frowned as a premonition arose in his heart.

"Well, the legal team didn't call the men, and besides, it wasn't a mistake so unfortunately they'll have to pull down the house and I have no say in that."

"Huh!"

Stephen froze hearing Harrison's words. What the hell did he think he was saying? How dare he try to threaten him.

"Are you trying to threaten me?" Stephen frowned.

"Threaten you?" Harrison frowned, "Nope you are not worthy."

Stephen gritted his teeth as he stared daggers at Harrison, "How dare you?"

"Well, it's not a matter of how dare I, but a matter of saving your villa from being pulled down from the legal team." Harrison shrugged.

"Do you think I don't know that you skipped work because your wife called you?" Stephen suddenly snorted.

"Then?" Harrison frowned as he turned around.

"I'll make sure you go jobless once again and see how you'll live." Stephen sneered.

"What a nice threat, I'd like to see you try." Harrison chuckled.

Caroline's face on the other hand went grave hearing Stephen's threat, her husband might lose his job if Stephen went to report. At that moment, she couldn't help but feel guilty as she was the one who had put him in the mess, or else, this wouldn't be happening.

"Harrison, you should hurry up and head back," Caroline said hurriedly.

"No need to be in a rush, I didn't skimp on work to be here, rather I had gotten approval from my superior before I came here. He even brought me here himself since it was an important thing." Harrison smiled.

Caroline frowned as she didn't want to believe what Harrison had said, which company would give leave to a staff member who had just resumed because of some trivial issues?

"Yeah that's true ma'am, the company gave him some hours to be off, I granted him that," Ramon said hurriedly seeing Caroline's expression.

"And who are you?" Caroline frowned.

"I'm Ramon, Harrison's immediate superior." Ramon continued as he proceeded to bring out an ID from his pocket showing it to Caroline.

"Thanks for helping, I promise I won't call him again while he's at work even in emergencies." Caroline couldn't help but smile happily.

"Don't worry ma'am, you can call him at all times, our company prioritizes the safety of our staff and their family members as they wouldn't be able to work efficiently if there's any problem." Ramon smiled as he said hurriedly.

"Then, I owe you one, how about I treat you to lunch?" Michelle smiled happily.

"That'll be another day ma'am as we'll have to leave as soon as we are done." Ramon declined politely.

"That's no problem, I'll be happy to have you at our house any time." Caroline smiled, feeling happy. Max's superior was so easygoing and kind.

Stephen on the other hand looked at the scene dumbfoundedly as he couldn't believe his eyes. What the hell was happening? If he could swear, he would have sworn that Ramon was a liar.

But looking at the car the two had come in which seemed to triple the price of his car, he couldn't help but shut his mouth.

"Aren't you going to head home to stop the legal teams, I'm afraid you'll be too late if you don't go now." Harrison's voice came just as Stephen was wallowing in his misery.

"Shut the hell up?" Stephen roared angrily as he glared at Harrison.

"Well, I'm afraid the men would also stop trying to explain to your mother why the legal team wanted them to pull down your house and just go ahead to pull it down." Harrison shrugged.

"How dare you threaten me, you trash of a human," Stephen growled.

"Well I've told you times without numbers, you're not worthy, so why would I threaten you, I'm merely stating facts." Harrison shrugged.

Ring! Ring!

Just then Stephen's phone rang making the frown on his face deepen.

"Pick it up, it must be your mum, I think they must have also stopped trying to explain to your mother why they need to pull down the building." Harrison shrugged.

"You..." Stephen gritted his teeth as he pointed at Harrison.

"Stop pointing and pick up the call." Harrison reprimanded.

Stephen ignored Harrison and picked up the call.

"Stephen, where are you, the men are not listening to me, come over quickly?" Rachel's anxious voice came from the other end of the phone.

"I'm being delayed by the traffic mum, I'll be there soon," Stephen said as he glared at Harrison before disconnecting the call.

"Harrison, call your men and ask them to withdraw, I've already done so on my part." Stephen frowned.

"But you asked me to keep shut, so how will I inform them, besides l, I'm afraid l they'll be too busy pulling down the building and won't have time to pick up my calls." Harrison shrugged.

"How dare you?" Stephen roared.

"I've told you, luck differs, and it seems like I'm luckier than you, so I'd advise you just to accept that fact." Harrison shrugged.

"Harrison, you're going too far." Stephen frowned.

"Too far, Huh!" Harrison sneered, "I'm afraid this isn't what we'd be saying if I didn't have any backup plan."

"You won this time Harrison, but you won't win next time, I'll make sure to be the cause of your death," Stephen growled as he walked towards his car.

"I'd love to see you try," Harrison chuckled as he watched Stephen get into the car and the driver drove away.

"Ask the men to withdraw," Harrison ordered as he turned to look at Ramon.

Ramon nodded as he turned around to carry out Harrison's order, there was a large smile on his face.

it seemed like the young master was not someone to be trifled with. He had played rather too well and successfully intimidated Stephen.

At first, he thought Harrison would have asked him to use his power to stop Stephen. Even though he would have carried it out heartily, he would still be slightly disappointed.

But seeing the way Harrison handled the situation rather flawlessly made his respect for the Young Master soar even higher.
