Linda broke in sweat as she stood close to Grandmother. In such a state, it was harder than she thought. Her head was still banging on the inside, and she was yet to know what the old woman had on her mind.

“Where were you planning to go? Follow him? You want to go and enjoy riches and leave us down here?” Grandmother snapped, advancing towards her until she was cornered to the wall.

“You didn't mean to what? I saw you, didn't I? Or are you trying to deny it?” Grandmother cut her off.

“Mom, you don't have to be so hard on her like that.” Rachel walked towards them. She couldn't ignore the situation, and the fact that they lost a deal with Edward was still hurting her. All the plans she had now would be led to waste. Her family would be a ruin now.

“And who gave you the right to speak to me like that? Is it because I wasn't harsh on you at first? Just wait for it, I am coming for you too.” She snapped, and Rachel quickly tucked her head back in.
