Betrayal

Jane held Ken by the arm and led him to bed. She sat beside him and placed her head on his chest, listening to the rhythm of his heart.

"You went through a lot Ken!" She mumbled and look up at him.

He wrapped his arms around her and looked into her eyes. "Pouring out my heart to you tonight made me feel better." He said.

She held up his stare and placed her hand on the left side of his chest. "Are you sure about it?"

He smiled and hugged her tightly. "Trust me, Jane. It was good speaking to you about my past tonight. I've been carrying this burden for years and even though I had therapy sessions with my Master which I must confess helped, I still never felt completely relieved."

She sighed and tightened her grip around him. "I pray you heal and I hope you get justice."

"Justice? I've searched for that man that came that night all my life but never found him. I believe that one day, I'm going to lay my hands on him and he's going to pay for what he did to my parents." Ken replied.
