Cassie’s fear.

Cassie looked into Ken's eyes and quickly turned away. He was mad at her. She knows him and could detect when he was really mad at her.

She sighed and rubbed her palms against each other tenderly. "Do you have a lecture to attend right now?"

Ken shook his head and broke into a dry laugh. It was the first day of the new academic session and just like Cassie, he needed to be in class now.

"No!" He replied and turned away.

Cassie heaved another sigh. She knew he gave the reply because she had asked an insensitive question. Meanwhile, she needed to tell him something but didn't know how to go about it and that was how the silly question popped out.

"I'm sorry!" She mumbled and cast her gaze to the floor. There were a lot of unsaid things between them and she could only come up with an apology.

"I'm sorry Ken."

"Sorry?" Ken almost yelled.
