Go to hell

"You seem to be in a bad mood today." Ray pointed out. It was a few minutes past 8 am and he was driving Ken to the hospital.

Ken turned to him with a faint smile. "I'm a bit stressed that's all."

"Well, health is wealth and I don't need to remind you about that fact boss. You need rest. Doctors are humans too." Ray commented and adjusted his tie.

Ken broke into a laugh. "You have a point, Ray."

But if only Ray knew that the meeting he had with Miranda the previous day was what was keeping him on the edge, not some sort of stress as he alleged. Now that he was aware of the fact that Charlie would be coming for him, Ken couldn't help but feel restless.

Ray drove the car into the hospital's parking lot and pulled it to a halt. He quickly stepped out and before he could open the door to the back seat for Ken, the doctor was already out, clinging to his briefcase.

Ray wanted to take charge of the briefcase but Ken sharply placed it behind him. "That's okay Ray. Just pass me the car key."
