Chapter 18:

The closing party, the final jest, has ended. Justin, Katherine, their daughter, and the “friend” all promptly leave. Anyway, she no longer wants to endure the artificial atmosphere that always permeates her family.

No matter how cold it is outside, it still feels warmer than the ruthless relatives.

The four of them, as if without a hint of nostalgia, turn away and walk straight ahead, ignoring the messy situation behind them.

All four first return to their own home. Caesar also stays in a guest room, close to Justin and Katherine’s main bedroom.

However, he doesn’t stay put in the room; Caesar says he wants to take a stroll outside before settling in.
