Mrs. Laura gave Mr. Thomas a knock on the head, leaving him dazed. He scratched his head in confusion and complied with his wife’s command to leave. Meanwhile, Katherine stood frozen, looking at Mrs. Laura with suspicion and fear. At that moment, Julie whispered to her:
