Interrogation.

"Cara, your father is dead!"

These words from her mother through the phone had Cara chuckle in confusion, she removed the phone from her ears to look at the screen to be sure she was talking to the right person.

But the name on her screen showed it was her mother.

"Mom? Please, I'm not even in the mood for your silly jokes. I have work to do, I'm busy." Cara said with a frown.

She felt her mother went overboard with her jokes, why would she even say such nonsense?

"Cara?! Your Father is at the morgue now. He is really gone!" Susan said and this time, Cara noted the trembling voice of her mother. She could also hear her crying through the phone, was this true?

"I...I don't understand. How? When? What do you even mean? Do you see if... Mom? Where are you right now? I will be there in a few minutes."

Cara quickly stood up from where she sat, she now realized this could be a serious issue and nothing to joke about. Because who in this world jokes about death??
