Garden was still silent there, in front of a confession of feelings that Adam called love. Her brain was trying to digest, not because she was so happy, but because the words invited a tightness that was nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Arthur continued to stare at her with a serious gaze that made it even harder for her to control her breathing. Garden was not ready to hear it.

"Arthur, are you serious?"

"Have you ever seen me play?" the girl swallowed her saliva again, this situation was even more stressful than the time when Arthur was furious when he found out he was leaving Black Hall. He didn't know what to say back. If she said 'no', it would surely disappoint Arthur and if she said 'yes', she wasn't ready to lie about something as big as love. Isn't it cruel to give false hope to people who have clearly expressed their love for us?
