Violet was silent, glancing at Emma who seemed to take great offense at Lucy’s words.

It was fine if that was the case for Lucy, but for Emma, who Violet had heard stories and perspectives from, Draven’s presence was very important. Violet knew that all too well, so it wasn’t a surprise to her that Emma would immediately make a displeased face upon hearing Lucy’s remark.

“Tsk, you’re no fun at all, Sister Lucy!” Emma rolled her eyes sarcastically, then walked away from Lucy by swimming to the other side of the pool. Jessie didn’t make any comment about Lucy’s remark, even though she knew it was a bit rude for the immature Emma to hear.

But Jessie chose to remain silent, she already knew that this was Lucy’s nature. “I think I’m done,” she said, looking for an excuse to leave the pool and the not-so-calm atmosphere.

Jessie’s departure left Violet with a heavy heart. Surely she wasn’t so stupid that she didn’t realize it was because of her. If Jessie had known Violet was blaming herself
