Jack was silent, not answering Victor’s words that hit him and forced him to remember their past. Reminding Jack of what a coward he was. Jack looked down deeply, guilt dominating him.

“Since it was my last time there, I can’t tell you this much. But honestly, I just want to say that your life is pretty sickening,” Victor said, unconsciously his eyes heating up as he brought up his past again. It made his chest pound, his pulse racing like the pace of a horse at the races. It was so tight that it was painful and claustrophobic. “You have ears but close them tightly, you see everything but close your eyes when I become the object. You could say... you could probably save one life just by speaking out, but you won’t do it.”
