016 - Arrested For Defamation And Slander

Evans George's jaw clenched and unclenched in response to their words. One thing he despised was having people point fingers at him.

He took a deep breath and carefully tried to recall if he had ever sent Adams Smith an invitation to their engagement party; however, he had no memories of doing so.

“I never drank Dad! You are also aware that I have been abstaining from alcohol for the past several months. How could you doubt me? I never sent him an invitation.” Evans counter-retorted with a frown.

Hendrix had a scowl on his face as he turned to look at Adams. He quickly looked away, unintentionally sharing a glance with the one man in black who remained by Adams Smith's side.

He did not want to doubt his son, but deep down, Hendrix George did not believe Adams could find a way to get the invitation. Evans insisted he did not send the invitation, so someone close to him must have done so.
