Chapter 4

Dakota smiled happily now that he was out of the hospital. Loewi agrees to pay for Dakota's treatment costs of 1,200 dollars, on the condition that Dakota must keep their secret. Dakota didn't even know what their video recordings were. Dakota walked slowly with stiff footsteps. He was thinking about something.

It turns out that utilizing other people's fear can be very profitable for me.

Dakota exhaled his breath with relief. "With a great ability like this, I can do anything."

Suddenly, Dakota remembered Ghea, who had rejected him hundreds of times, and Bruno, who had humiliated him in front of many people. The look on his face instantly turned into anger. Their treatment last time to hi,, had really gone too far.

Dakota clenched his hands tightly while imagining Ghea and Bruno's faces at that time. "I will repay what they have done. I'll teach them the saddest lesson they've never felt before!"

His chest felt even hotter when the faces of the people who laughed at him at that time also came to mind. Suddenly, Dakota heard a commotion that broke his reverie. Not far from where he was, a pair of lovers were arguing. Dakota frowned and watched them. Dakota knew they were a wealthy couple from the two people's appearance.

Dakota observed the two people. The man's facial expression looked sad, and begged the woman not to be broken up by her lover. The woman's face looked upset and reluctant to be with her lover again.

The man raised his hand while trying to grab his woman's hand. "Anyway, I don't want to break up with you. You have to stay with me!"

"But I don't want to be with you anymore, Jay!" The woman was beautiful with long black hair. She pushed the body of the man in front of her.

The man named Jay looked at the woman with annoyance. "Why do you suddenly want to break up with me, Anna? Our relationship is fine."

Anna shook her head. She raised her hands up. "Never mind, Jay. I want us to break up. Now, you and I don't have any relationship!"

Anna stepped away from Jay, but he immediately grabbed her wrist, causing her to almost fall. Anna threw Jay's hand away violently.

Jay pointed his index finger at Anna's face with a hardened jaw. "Hey, you can't just leave and decide unilaterally. What's the reason? Why do you want to break up with me?"

Anna looked back at Jay sharply. She was fed up with being with Jay because she knew Jay was playing with fire behind her back. Anna had tried to keep the fact to herself, but Jay asked her why she wanted to break up. Jay's question made Anna recall the events of that day.

Anna pointed her index finger at Jay's face with trembling lips, holding back tears mixed with anger. "You're such a jerk, Jay! You cheated on me!"

Jay was shocked to hear Anna's words. However, he didn't admit to it and denied it. "What's the proof that I cheated on you?"

Anna's jaw hardened to the point where the veins in her neck were visible. "I saw you walking with another woman at the supermarket!"

Jay had no idea the woman before him had seen him with another woman. He couldn't just let Anna go. "You're wrong, Anna. He's my brother."

Anna shook her head. "Brother you say?" She grinned with a hateful look in her eyes. "What brother kisses in public while they're eating ice cream? Asshole!"

Jay was shocked. Apparently, Anna saw the whole thing. Instantly making him panic. "A-Anna, I just got carried away. It's not what you think."

Jay got closer, trying to grab Anna's hand again. However, Anna brushed him off even harder than before. Anna's face turned red, full of anger. "You still want to deny it? What a jerk! I don't want to be with you anymore!"

Jay blocked Anna's body as she tried to leave again. "Hey, wait a minute. You can't possibly say that so quickly. Don't you love me so much? You said it yourself that I'm the man you love the most and you can't be with another man. We promised that we would stay together."

Jay held Anna's hand forcefully. Anna's whole body was covered in goosebumps. Anna felt disgusted with the man. The image of Jay kissing another woman kept spinning in her head.

Anna pushed Jay's body hard. "You're wrong, Jay. I no longer love you. I hate you. And I, already have a new girlfriend!"

Jay snorted in annoyance as he girded his loins. "That's impossible because I know what you're like. You're a shy girl. There's no way you can get a new boyfriend while you're still with me. You're always giving any guy a hard time. No one would want to be with you but me, Anna!"

Jay knew very well how Anna behaved. Anna was shy, which made her too careless. All the guys who approached her were discouraged because Anna always embarrassed them. Only Jay was willing to date Anna. Just like other men, Jay didn't want to date Anna either. He made her his girlfriend because he wanted her possessions only.

Anna clenched her hands into fists. "But the truth is, I already have a new lover. We've broken up now. So, let me go!"

Jay still didn't accept Anna's decision because he hadn't gotten what he wanted. Again, the man blocked Anna. "You can't just leave, Anna. I still can't believe that you have a new boyfriend. Where's the proof? Show me!"

Anna bit her lower lip. How can I prove it to Jay? My lie could be found out by him. How can I do this?

Dakota, who heard Anna's inner voice, especially saw the look on the woman's face that she needed her help. Maybe I can take advantage of this situation once again.

Dakota immediately approached them and embraced Anna. Suddenly, Anna was surprised. "Have you been waiting long?"

Jay widened his eyes to see Dakota embracing Anna. "Who are you? How dare you touch her. Get your hands off her!"

Jay tried to push Dakota away, but Dakota quickly swatted Jay's hand away. "I'm Dakota, Anna's lover."

Anna was surprised by what Dakota said. Even so, Anna still let Dakota embrace her because right now, Anna also needed Dakota's help to prove to Jay that she already had a new lover.

Jay didn't accept what Dakota said. He shook his head. "Lies. You must just be a hired gun paid by her, right?"

Dakota shook his head while clucking. "Why would I lie? I heard that you don't want to be dumped by Anna? Well, you better just leave Anna because she doesn't want to be with you anymore!"

Jay's jaw hardened. He stares intently at Dakota. Jay was panicking now because if he broke up with Anna, it meant he wouldn't have the chance to seize the treasure owned by Anna. He wouldn't let that happen.

Jay was gentle with Anna as he tried to retake her hand. "Anna, please. I'm sorry. We can start all over again. I promise I won't cheat on you again."

Dakota immediately dismissed Jay's hand. "Stop that. Don't force her if she doesn't want to! Once cheated on, the cheater will never change. One day, you will definitely repeat it."

"Shut up!" Jay pointed his index finger at Dakota's face. He blocked Anna's body. "Anna, please."

Jay knelt down in front of Anna. Making Anna roll her eyes, reluctant to see Jay's behavior. She was sick of hearing all of Jay's nonsense. She would never forgive infidelity, even though her heart ached because Anna sincerely loved Jay. Who would have thought that the man was playing with fire?

Jay clenched his hands into fists. This can't happen. If we split up, I'll have difficulty getting my hands on Anna's treasure.

Dakota heard Jay's inner voice, making his smile slightly while looking at Jay coldly. "There's no need to act anymore. I already know that you don't genuinely love Anna. You only want her treasure."

Jay widened his eyes perfectly. He pointed at Dakota while shouting loudly. "Don't just accuse me randomly, damn it!" He looked at Anna. "I'm not like that, Anna. I genuinely love you."

Dakota was surprised and felt strange when he saw the flashback that happened earlier to Jay. There was a foreshadowing of Jay apparently planning something terrible for Anna. Everything looks very clear.

Dakota tried to be calm with the picture she had just seen. "No need to deny. I also know that you intend to take a luxury apartment and drop all the payments on Anna's behalf."

Suddenly, that made Jay very surprised. How could he know that? Jay panicked. He had never told anyone about this. Even Anna didn't know about it. He wondered to himself, confused as to how Dakota could know about it.

Jay shook his head, looking at Anna with a deathly pale face. "Anna, none of that is true. He got in the way of the story. I wouldn't do anything like that."

Anna was silent. She remembered that Jay had asked her to buy him a luxury car as a birthday present. Anna's memory of all things Jay began to make sense with Dakota saying that Jay only wanted his property. The look in Anna's eyes instantly turned sharp. Anna is furious, immediately giving a hard slap to Jay's face with a face reddened full of anger.
