“No. She doesn’t want to see you anymore. ‘Poor daddy’,” Sara replied sarcastically, as if belittling Sebastian’s efforts to be involved in Dinda’s life. Every word that came out of her mouth was like a needle that stabbed his heart deeper.
Sebastian felt pent-up anger. “This is too much, Sara! I’m not the ‘poor daddy’ you mentioned! I may not be Dinda’s biological father, but I want to be a part of her life,” he said, his voice rising, but he tried to make sure he remained polite despite the anger.
But Sara just smiled sarcastically, making him feel even more hopeless. “She might be better off without your drama-filled presence. Why don’t you just focus on yourself?” she replied, shrugging as if none of this mattered to her.
Sebastian was completely fed up. Everything he had done, all the effort he had put into protecting Dinda and speaking up for the little girl seemed to be in vain. “You only care about yourself! Dinda deserves to know about me and has the choice to meet me!” he shouted with emotion.
He thought about how Dinda had become the center of his world, and right now, he felt like he had lost all hope. The fond memories with her flashed through his mind, and he didn’t want to just ignore them.
“Give me some time to meet Dinda. This isn’t just about us—it’s about her!” Sebastian pleaded again, feeling the depth of the injustice he was experiencing right now.
However, Sara remained firm, “No more discussions. This is my decision. She lives with me, and I won’t let you get close to her.”
Sebastian felt his soul being crushed by this harsh reality. He knew that Sara would continue to stand in his way. Within him, a new strength grew—he wouldn’t give up so easily. Even though all his efforts seemed to be fruitless, he knew that he had to find another way to fight for Dinda.
Sebastian took a deep breath and resolved not to let this discourage him. He would find a way to protect Dinda from all the lies and deceit—and this time, he would be more prepared than ever.
Sebastian felt like he had no other choice. With a heavy heart, he decided to leave Sara without saying any last words that could add to the tension. All the frustration and anger would only lead to violence—something he didn’t want to do. He walked out of the cafe feeling empty, determined to find another way to fight for Dinda.
Meanwhile, when Sara returned home, she found Dinda playing in the living room. With a fake smile, she approached her. “Dinda, soon you will be living with ‘rich daddy’,” she said, trying to arouse her interest with a cheerful tone, even though she knew that there was tension in her heart.
Dinda, who was still young, heard this statement, immediately glanced at her mother in confusion. “But… Why isn’t Daddy Sebastian home?” she asked innocently, as if she felt something was wrong and wanted to know more. “I’m still confused too, Mommy. I miss him.”
Sara felt turmoil in her heart when she saw the question. Facing Dinda with feelings of guilt, she tried to explain. “Sebastian… he’s busy with his own affairs. He made the choice not to come back. But it’s okay, honey. We will have lots of fun things in our new ‘rich daddy’s’ house,” she answered, trying to present everything as positive in front of Dinda.
Dinda frowned, her eyes full of curiosity and a little doubt. “But, Mommy… I like playing with Daddy Sebastian. Can’t I meet him again?” She spoke in a very soft voice, as if she didn’t want to disappoint her mother.
Sara felt a little stressed, but quickly tried to cover up her feelings. “We’ll be fine. ‘Rich daddy’ will make our lives more comfortable. Dinda doesn’t need to worry,” she whispered, trying to calm her child, even though she herself felt unsure.
Dinda nodded slowly, but confusion still haunted her. She didn’t understand why everything had to change and why Sebastian wasn’t by her side if everything seemed fine when they were together.
“Mommy, I just want to see Daddy Sebastian. He’s good to me,” Dinda said, her voice full of longing.
Seeing Dinda’s sad and confused face, Sara’s heart trembled. Even though she knew what she was saying to her child, she also realized that Dinda loved Sebastian and didn’t understand all the drama that was happening between them. She felt pain in her heart, but she covered it up with a fake smile and hope for the new life they were planning.
“Honey, everything will be fine. We will have a better life with ‘rich daddy’,” she said, trying to instill confidence at the end of her words, even though in her heart there was an uncertainty that could not be ignored.
Dinda still stared at her doubtfully, and the atmosphere between them felt tense. Sebastian's presence in her life had given Dinda the comfort and affection she craved. Everything that had happened instead made her miss him even more.
Sara knew that there had to be a better explanation, but right now, she felt trapped in a difficult situation, trying to find a way to make Dinda feel safe and comfortable, even if it meant hiding the painful truth.
Sara felt satisfied when she finally got what she wanted. With steady steps, she had control over the situation and planned a future with Rendy, the man she had chosen to be her life partner. However, behind all that, there was regret in Sara's heart, a feeling that she couldn't ignore.
She only realized how important Sebastian was after finding out that he was the 'heir' of a large company. Everything she had previously considered trivial about Sebastian now seemed valuable in her eyes. She had once underestimated his struggles, thinking that Sebastian was just a part of her past, but now she felt as if she had missed a great opportunity.Even though regret was on her mind, Sara quickly pushed it aside. She had already committed herself to marry Rendy, who clearly had wealth and a strong social position. Money was the most valuable thing to her, and she knew that in order to get what she wanted, she had to be consistent with her choice.“There’s no going back,” she thought firmly. “Everything is done for money.” She knew that even though her feelings for Sebastian might still be there, her decision to unite with Re
Sara woke up in the middle of the night feeling restless. The room was quiet, but suddenly a weak groan came from Dinda's room. Her instincts immediately told her to get up and check on her daughter. With quick steps, Sara headed to Dinda's room, and when she approached the small bed, she saw Dinda's face sweating and looking restless in her sleep."Dinda?" Sara called softly, trying to wake her daughter who looked disturbed in her sleep. However, Dinda only groaned softly, her small body writhing restlessly. Sara felt her heart sink in worry. When she touched Dinda's forehead, she was surprised to find her daughter's body very hot. The heat was so high that Sara pulled her hand away quickly as if stung."Oh my God ...," Sara muttered, her heart pounding. Panic immediately surged in her chest. She knew this was no ordinary fever. Without thinki
Suddenly, Dinda began to move restlessly in her sleep. Her pale face looked increasingly tense, and she began to make soft sounds. "Dad... Sebastian..." she groaned in a hoarse and weak tone. Her body was shaking even more, and Sara, who realized what her daughter had said, was shocked. "Sebastian?" Sara muttered softly, her heart astonished. Why at a time like this, when Dinda was sick and had a fever, was Sebastian the name her daughter was calling? She felt shocked to see Dinda continue to call out for her father, a small cry was heard between her gasping breaths. Dinda continued to sleep talk, her body shivering and calling incessantly, "Dad... Sebastian... miss you..." Sara felt her heart being stabbed. Guilt began to creep into her chest. How could Dinda miss her father so much, while she had always closed the door between Dinda and Sebastian? Sara knew, however, that Sebastian was a part of Dinda's life. But she never thought that the longing would be so deep, even in the
Suddenly, Sara's maid, Mrs. Rina, appeared from the side of the house. Her face looked worried, and when she saw Sebastian, she immediately approached him. "Mr. Sebastian," she said in a low voice. "Dinda... she was taken to the hospital last night." Sebastian felt as if the whole world stopped for a moment. "What? Why? What happened to her?" he asked urgently, unable to hide his surging anxiety. Mrs. Rina shook her head, her eyes full of sympathy. "Dinda has a high fever and can't sleep. Mrs. Sara took her to the hospital for further treatment." "Dinda is in the hospital now?" Sebastian panicked and rushed to his car. "I have to go there. Thank you, Mrs. Rina." "Mr. Sebastian, be careful. Mrs. Sara is already there, and they are still examining her," Mrs. Rina added, but Sebastian was impatient. He drove to the hospital full of worry. Sebastian panicked when he arrived at the hospital and immediately found out where Dinda was being treated. He ran to the reception desk, his brea
Dinda, who was still lying weakly on the bed, suddenly hugged Sebastian tightly. Her small but soulful hands gripped Sebastian's shirt, as if afraid that her father would leave again. "Daddy... I miss you so much," her voice was hoarse but full of emotion. Sebastian was silent for a moment, his heart seemed to explode with mixed feelings—happy, sad, and relieved. He returned Dinda's hug gently, embracing his daughter in the warmth he had longed for. "Daddy misses you so much too, honey," he whispered, Sebastian's voice trembling slightly. Dinda continued to hug Sebastian tightly, not wanting to let go. Her tears began to flow, dripping down her cheeks which were hot from the fever. "I was scared, Daddy... I thought Daddy wouldn't come again." Sebastian rubbed Dinda's back gently, trying to calm his daughter. "Daddy is always there for you, Dinda. Whatever happens, Daddy will never leave you. You are everything to Daddy." Hearing Sebastian's words, Dinda calmed down a lit
Sara's face turned annoyed. She didn't expect Sebastian to bring it up here, in the middle of a tense situation. "Sebastian..." "Do you think I'll just let it go?" Sebastian gritted his teeth, trying to hold back the pain that was surfacing again. Sara took a step back, her face trying to remain calm. But her eyes showed panic that could not be hidden. "That's none of your business anymore, Sebastian. What happened between us is over. And I will not give Dinda to you. And I will protect her from this endless debate." "If you really want to protect Dinda, you won't raise her with lies." Sebastian's voice rose, his emotions could no longer be contained. "I have the right to Dinda, and I will not keep quiet anymore. I will fight for her custody, Sara. She deserves to grow up with the truth, not in the lies you created." Sara flinched at the threat. She knew that if Sebastian really fought for Dinda’s custody, there was a big chance that she would lose. Her past mistakes could be
With a smile on his lips, Sebastian began to feed Dinda again. Although she still winced a little because of the bland taste of the porridge, Dinda still obeyed and tried to finish her breakfast. While feeding Dinda, Sebastian spoke softly to her, telling funny stories about the things they did together when Dinda was younger. "Dad, do you still remember when we went to the park, and Dinda ran around with that big dog?" Dinda asked, suddenly remembering an old incident that made her eyes shine. Sebastian chuckled. "Remember. That dog likes Dinda, he didn't stop chasing you until we had to climb onto the park bench," he said, still remembering how funny and adorable that moment was. "Dad also climbed onto the bench, right?" Dinda giggled, remembering her Dad's surprised expression at that time. "Yeah, Dad was scared too at that time," Sebastian admitted jokingly, making Dinda laugh even more. They continued to laugh and share stories, enjoying every moment of their warm togethernes
Sara, seeing the opportunity, immediately took over. She hugged Dinda lovingly, pretending to be calm in front of her daughter. "Dinda, Mommy isn't crying. You know Mommy loves you, right? Daddy just wants to ruin everything. He doesn't care about us," she said softly, but in a tone that clearly conveyed the message that Sebastian was a dangerous figure. Dinda nodded, wiping away the tears on her still-damp cheeks. "Yes, Mommy. I don't want to see Daddy anymore! Get out of here!" Dinda shouted, her voice getting higher and full of hatred.Sebastian felt an unbearable pain in his chest. He wanted to step closer, but he felt as if an invisible wall was blocking him. "Dinda, please... listen to Daddy. I love you. Daddy doesn't want to make Mommy or you feel sad. Daddy just wants us to be together again. We can play and have fun," he said, his voice full of hope, even though deep inside he fel
