After waiting for the right moment to leave, John finally found it when Stephanie had a board meeting with some investors, and he knew his absence wouldn’t be noticed. He left the company and headed straight for “Drive all,” which wasn’t too far away.

As John sat in the cab to “Drive all,” he tried to piece together the puzzle of who the hoodie man was and what he was planning with Jeffrey and Stephanie. A myriad of thoughts swirled and roamed his mind as he stared out the window of the car with a furrowed brow.

Upon arriving at “Drive all,” John briskly walked, his black suit clinging to him, leaving a distinctive mark with each step he took. He finally halted at the receptionist’s desk.

“Good day,” John greeted with a feigned smile, though his mind was far from at ease.

He subtly glanced around the lobby, taking in the scent of polished wood and the distant murmur of voices, trying to gauge the atmosphere of the place. He could feel the tension building in his chest, like a weight p
