Every day there was news of Aliens, antagonizing the human world and war felt like it could start again at any moment. In terms of technology, these aliens were more advanced than humans, in terms of weapons, they had the best of the best weapons. Actually, they make weapons out of their bodies. And that alone could make them strong against any human opponent. Meaning humans can't defeat them easily due to the weapon like body they possess.
Xin quickly went to inform Mrs Brenton about the call he had gotten from a sergeant and to his surprise, Mrs Brenton and her children were shocked as they heard that he'll be heading to the military academy tomorrow morning.
"How come? how is that even possible??" Megan questioned her mother. "He is an orphan, yet he receives good treatment than us." As soon as the twin said this, she hurriedly left the room.
"Get out of our house, I don't wish to see you anymore." Butch said, pushing him put of their room.Mrs Brenton was silent but Xin could feel that she's angry and also lost in thought. To not cause any more problem, Xin left for his room as he prepared for the next day. He's no longer the Xin who would be bullied all the time by his guardian's children, he's now a military student. Although he felt like his plan to have revenge was fading as time passes, yet he knew it's best to get stronger first so he could enjoy the last of the humans he kills. Perhaps going to the military academy wasn't a bad idea. He won't only have his revenge but he will find out who killed his parents. It was 9pm in the night and Xin was just about to sleep after arranging his luggages. It was at that time that he heard a knock on the door. He felt like something bad is about to happen and so he was prepared to give the enemy, either the twins or Mrs Brenton a taste of his fist. He won't care what happens to them since he's leaving them anyway. If he kills them, he could just hide their corpse till he leaves in the morning. And no evidence would lead to him that he killed anyone of them.
He opened the door and the two twins stepped inside his room, they closed the door behind themselves as they stared angrily at Xin.
"Do you think you are a celebrity now? Don't you know you must serve us till your death you crazy son of a bitch!" Megan shouted and the two kids started running towards Xin with knives in their hands. Xin could see it, these two kids are not normal, it seems like they were possessed or something. The black of their eyes were white with no other colour. Whatever possessed them was trying to kill Xin at all cost.At that moment, Xin felt his eyes itching and he saw that it was glowing red like blood. But at that point, his mind suddenly went blank as he didn't know what was happening again.
The next morning the sun was up and Xin woke up all in pain. His head was aching tremendously but it wasn't that bad. He peeped through the window and he could see that a bus was waiting outside for him with a soldier standing at the doorstep. He quickly took his suitcase as he headed downstairs to the main door. He passed by the twins room and saw that they were asleep. Same for Mrs Brenton. He remembered what happened last night but he felt like it was all a nightmare due to how weak and tired he was last night. He thought maybe he was asleep and he had dreamt of the twins trying to kill him with knives. It actually didn't make sense to him and concluding that it couldn't be real, Xin quickly dismissed the terrifying nightmare.
Right now, he need to head into that military academy before any of the Brenton's wakes up."We've been here for over ten minutes waiting for you to get down. Why weren't you picking your calls?!" Sergeant Leo, a man with long grey beards shouted. He was also the sergeant who had called him yesterday. As soon as he opened the door, he had met with sergeant Leo's angry face.
"I'm sorry, I slept too late yesterday and slept past the waking time.""Whatever." The Seargent said.As soon as Xin stepped outside the sun, his body started itching as if he was attacked with a cactus plant. He was feeling sick and tired and could fall down at any time.
Suddenly, the system started notifying him of different things.< You body is directly in the sun >
< โ2 points of every stats >
< All stats has been reduced by 2 stat points >
< The Sun is affecting your Vampiric Cells and the User's safety can't be guaranteed>
< The User should stay out of sun for personal safety>
< New Daily Quest: Stay out of Sun for five hours >
< Quest rewards: 5exp >
< Each of your stats decreases by 2 every thirty minutes as long as you are in the Sun. While the cooling time is 15 minutes >
It means that if Xin stays in the Sun, his 10 points stat which would be 8 points stats will decrease by 2 points every thirty minutes, making it 6 points. The cooling time is the time when Xin recovers all his Stat points back. All at once.
Xin saw the new daily quest despite the way he was feeling and had decided to head inside the bus quickly before sergeant Leo notices his sluggishness. He had delayed them already, and seeing him walking like a crippled toad might make him request the dismissal of his admission into the Military Academy.
Finally, Xin had reached the bus that was parked just outside the gate of Brenton's house. Upon entering the bus, he noticed that the bus was occupying lots of students, those younger and older than him. There might be some from his school but it's not everyone that he recognizes, but there's a possibility of some of the ones in the bus recognizing him.
Xin sat on an empty seat that was close to the door of the bus. As soon as Xin entered the bus and avoided the sun, his body went back to the way it was and the pain he once felt had disappeared into thin air.
"I guess my body gets weaker in the sunlight which means that I'm something that can't survive much in the sunlight." Xin said before his eyes lightened up in amusement. "That means I'm a Vampire. Again!"
Sergeant Leo entered the bus as he made an announcement to the students.
"Students, the journey to the military academy begins now. You are free to talk but ensure you do not make any noise or fight each other as the bus moves. Tighten your seatbelts if you want to survive this journey, Okay?!"
"Okay!" The students answered in unison. The bus then started to move and the students were finally on their way. At that moment when the bus started moving, the windows of the bus started disappearing and the driver's seat were blocked from the students from peeping. Now there was no way the students could know where they are or what is going on outside.
Sergeant Leo then gave them another announcement. "We will be flying in the next 30 seconds, like i said, tighten your seatbelts if you want to survive. The students gasped in awe as they heard this, they didn't know that the bus could transform into a airplane but it was all okay for them.
Soon, the bus started flying in the air and for about two hours, the journey was getting to an end.
Some of the students who had slept off started to lift their heads up. The bus had returned back to its normal form and every student was excited to see the military academy. They all want to see how the world outside was.But before they could get off from the bus, they were told to put on some strange devices on. It was round and looks like a badge but as soon as they placed the devices on their chests, their dressing had changed immediately. They were all wearing a military uniform coloured black and had a little white on it. Then a large number 1 appeared on the devices."This is called an Hornotrik, it is more important than your lives so make sure to keep it on at at times. It would help you access some specific areas in the school. And note that the military officials could locate you through these devices. If you remove it from your chest, they'd be notified and they might come to punish you for removing it." Sergeant Leo said before a young lady with a blonde hair came to meet him. They both exchange pleasantries and that was the first time the students will see sergeant Leo smile. The students got off the bus and they could see what could be called a technology city. Everyone was dressed up in military uniform both black and white and different other colours, and there were technology and engineering around them that was too advanced for their time. It was all thanks to the scientists that had come from the future that this was possible. They didn't just share the technologies they used in their world but the notes of how their technologies were made were given to all scientist and they all have been working on this for the better of humans. Even though not all of these has been exposed to the public. The Hornotrik that was also on their chests was also their handiworks. It was a wonder how they came up with such ideas."Okay now guys. I'm Dora and I'm here to lead you to the next segment of your admittance into this school." The blonde lady said after talking with Leo. "First and foremost, Welcome to the Military Academy. An academy that decides who becomes a hero and who becomes a slave. My first advice for you is to get stronger so you could become an hero and not a slave to the Aliens." As you can see, it's getting late. So you should cooperate and follow every of our instructions."Dora clapped her hands two times and a paper indicating each students' Dorm room appeared in their hands. After that, Dora placed her hands on the grounds but she said a few things before activating her ability.
"Feel free to move around the school, the Hornotrik will tell you what each building stands for. But make sure you get back to your dorm rooms before 9pm when the curfew starts. Tommorow, an ability test will be coordinated." Dora said as she activated her ability and the students were all teleported to the front of their Dorm building. In front of the building, several teachers were waiting patiently for them to arrive so they could mark each students that are present. After that, they can now head inside their dorm rooms with their luggages. While Xin was on the queue to register his name, he noticed that everyone was staring at him. And that was mostly the girls. There were two queues formed, one for the females and the other for the males.
As Xin saw that the females were staring at him, he could also hear them whispering among each other."OMG, he's so handsome. I could die for him."That wasn't the only case but when the queue got to Xin, he saw that the female teacher that was in front of him was struck by Xin's beauty, something that has never happened before.
< Beauty level has increased +5 >< Beauty: 45 >
' I didn't notice this before. I guess it's because I'm a vampire now, my handsomeness has increased.'
"What is your dorm room number?" The female teacher asked.
"30."As Xin said this, a lot of the female students started checking out their room numbers to see if they're in room 30. "Number 30, that's the room handsome guys stays in. The former student living in that room was also handsome just like you." The teacher said with a smile. If not because Xin was a student and was younger than her, she would have asked him out for a date."I think so." Xin abruptly replied. The female teacher quickly registered Xin's name and he head inside his dorm room but he felt the load of everyone's stare on his back.As he entered his room, the Hornotriks notified him that he have entered his dorm room. There were three beds in total with the bedsheets coloured blue and a desk and a chair on one side of the room.
"Am I the only one who'll be sleeping in this room? I guess so." Xin said as he laid himself on the bed that was in the middle of the two other beds.Immediately, the door was opened and when Xin turn to look at the person who had entered, it happened to be a girl."Hi." The female said waving her hands.
' I guess I'm not the only one then.' Xin thought as he got off the bed."Hello... hehem, I don't know the bed you'll want to sleep on, so you should pick first." Xin said, not looking at the girl's face."Noo, that's not a problem. I'll pick the one at the side, you should sleep in the middle." The female replied."Really?" Xin said as he lift his heads up to look at the girl. But he was dumbstruck as he saw her face. She was so pretty and Xin couldn't deny the fact. Everything about her what so perfect. Her short but not too short stature. Her golden long hair, her blue, bright, happy eyes. The complexion of her skin that was as white as a snow, her dimples, and female figures which was something every female would pray for."Errm, I'm Roselle by the way." The female said as she stretched her hands for an handshake and Xin gladly accepted the shake, even with his mouth open wide.
"I.. I'm..""I already know that, you're Xin luck. My roommate and also birthday mate." Roselle asked."How.. how did you know that?" Xin was worried that the girl could be one of his enemies with the way she knew a lot about him, but he was silently praying within himself that she wouldn't."I'm an Hacker. Sincerely, I fell for your beauty and that has never happened to me before. I have a lot of suitors but I never gave any of them a chance. But seeing you made me commit a terrible sin by hacking the military server just to be your roommate. That's how much I admired you." Roselle answered."Ohhh.""Are you done packing, we need to explore the school before it gets late." Roselle said and Xin agreed to what she said. So he went out with Roselle. He need to know a lot about the military school he's in."We're three in this room, the third person will soon come in. Let's go." Roselle said and they both exited the room."Where do we go first?"
Xin and Roselle had started their tour from their dorm building and next they went to a battle arena, where they had testing equipment, that determines the amount of strength, agility, speed, and durability one have. Also, there are several square fighting platforms that could be used in fighting during competition or wrestling. As they moved from building to building, the Hornotriks would always notify them of the name of every building they come across. They also went to their homeroom classes, battle classes, sports rooms, and all sorts of facilities. The Hornotriks also did its best to provide a tiny bit of explanation about each area of the school where they visited. Afterwards, they got to the library building and the Hornotriks like always provided them the details.< The library is split into four floors. First-year students are only able to access the first floor; while, the second-year students can access the second floor; and the third year stu
As Xin's eyes slowly fluttered open, the faint, flickering light of the torches that lined the cold, grey stone walls of his prison cell danced across his vision, casting eerie shadows on the ground. He was lying on a narrow, uncomfortable bed, its thin, worn mattress offering little comfort or support to his weary body. The hard, unyielding surface seemed to press against his very bones, making every movement a painful, laborious effort. As he struggled to sit up, a dull ache echoed through his head, a lingering reminder of the countless times he had been subjected to the witch's cruel experiments and torture. Xin's gaze wandered listlessly around the small, dingy cell, taking in the familiar sights of the rusty iron door, the small, barred window high up on one wall, and the crude, wooden table and chair that stood in the corner. It was a bleak, barren space, devoid of any comfort or warmth, a place where hope itself seemed to wither and die. And yet, despite the many hardship
As Xin's thoughts lingered on the witch's words, his mind became increasingly consumed by the weight of her sinister intentions. The memory of her voice, dripping with malice and sarcasm, echoed through his mind like a cold, mirthless laugh, sending shivers down his spine. He had been a prisoner in this damp, dingy cell for as long as he could remember, subjected to the witch's cruel experiments and torture, his body and mind battered and bruised by the relentless onslaught of her twisted desires. It was during the closing hours, Xin who had managed to reach his final years was busy walking down the school corridor."Crazy Orphan!" A boy shouted as he walked past Xin. He had a spiky green hair which looks rough and unbefitting for the shape of his oval head. He was walking past Xin but not without pushing him off to the side.Xin was angered by this but he carried on walking down the school corridor. He didn't know why they are calling him an orphan when his parents were still alive. It's just because his parents where faraway on a special mission. He still held onto what his mother said that he shouldn't have any revenge yet. But with how these kid humans were acting to him, his anxiety to have revenge had not just increased but he now have everyone as his enemy. Both the young and old. Humans will be humans. He was bullied everyday by almost everyone in the school but they all knew he won't just let it slide without retaliating back.
Gradually, Xin's eyelids started to open and his vision soon returned. Although, his head were throbbing in pain due to how he had fell unconsciously to the ground. As he lifted himself off the ground, he touched his head to see if he had gotten any injuries but luckily, there were no visible wounds only the internal ones. After seeing that his head was okay even though he's having a slight headache, Xin checked his hand and saw that it had all been healed. Xin was still wondering what was happening. What type of miracle happened that made the Brentons to treat his wound. He thought that perhaps it was the Brentons that helped him clean the wound on his hands but something else is telling him that it is not the Brenton's doing. It was at the last moment that Xin remembered something. Xin then went to pick up the suitcase that was thrown on the floor not too far from where he is. He opened the suitcase only to see that the book was gone."What?! But where did it go?!" Xin screamed l

Due to the War between Humans and the Aliens, every person when they reached the age of 15 and 16 was required to go to an ability school for three years. Even though Humans and Aliens were at a peaceful period, everyone knew that it wouldn't last forever. In every three years, a selected few would be taken from the military academy to head for war.
