Chapter 7

Inside the room where Akiza was locked inside an old cage Aromo walked in with one of her security men and asked him to leave them alone. the security man left the room and Aromo walked round the iron cage until she finally stood infront of it. Akiza raised up his weary head and his gloomy face and spoke;

"Your mind tells you that my mother is going to abandon me? You make a terrible mistake but you wouldn't know now would you? No you wouldn't, not until your sins are presented before you to see and the consequences of your actions..."

"Keep your mouth shut" Aromo began "I have nothing against your mother but I'm a religious person and..." Akiza chuckled and the woman paused before she continued, "Very well, since you want to hear it; I'm a Witch like your mother but she hasn't been a generous friend. You know what I'm talking about; she alone gets the good stuffs, she alone secured the favours of the King of Dodo. I am a born daughter of Dodo land but my people don't respect me, they hate me, they say I'm not like your mother, they say I only go to the temple to bow before the High Priest and that I have nothing to offer anymore. Before your mother is I was. Your mother came to Dodo when you were but a child and you grew up in my presence. I don't have a child of my own, I never got married, why then all that I wanted she had and more?"

"My mother is going to come back for me" this came from Akiza whose countenance wasn't welcoming.

"Your mother has lost everything, her wealth, her position and now you. She..." there was a heavy sound outside the building and then came the growling of the dragon. Akiza smiled mockingly at her and she out of fear dashed out of the room to witness what was happening outside. Standing on the balcony behold the giant creature and the mother of Akiza in the center of the large compound. Aromo was terrified and she knew she was in trouble.

That evening Aromo sat on the floor of his large room with her head bent and her eyes closed. Samata; Akiza's mother was tending her son's injuries. Shortly she rose and handed the piece of cloth socked with warm water to one of the maids standing beside her and the maid fearfully continued from where she stopped, dabbing the bruised body of Akiza. Samata walked up to Aromo where she was seated and bent over her, using her finger to raise her face up.

"I want you to look into my eyes and then tell me one thing that I did wrong which prompted you to treat my son like an animal...you lured my son to bed?" She slapped Aromo across the face and her back graced the floor. Samata went after her and dragged her up once again, hitting her back to the ground. As she walked back to where her son was seated she continued, "Funny enough the sisterhood wouldn't allow me kill you. We have a law and I am not going to disobey the Sisters Of Magic. I will leave you to your mistakes but I am stripping you of all your possessions. You are to remain in this land but never to own properties or slaves. Whatever you see that is what you eat"

That same night Akiza and her mother left the home of Aromo and the men they left behind to ensure Aromo's exit from the house saw to it that Aromo left with nothing.

Back to the palace of the King of Dodo where he was kept inside the cell he was dragged out and burnt alive.

Akiza who was still unable to fully recover from his sexual escapade with Aromo sank on his seat and threw his head backward. He could still hear the King of Dodo screaming as the fire devoured him. He covered his ears with both hands and refused to hear it. His mother could see him from the outside and she immediately walked away from the execution space and headed to meet with her son. When Akiza saw her approaching he pretended he was fine but the mother was not ready to accept that.

"I know what that woman did to you. She wants to control your mind and if I hadn't returned it was a matter of time before you became her puppet. Thanks to the gods I came back and I did so on time, yet the spell entered your system and there is only one way by which it can be washed off. I know that you do not understand what I mean but I will explain it to you in simpler words; the woman had intercourse with you and deposited the controlling spell in your brain, now when you close your eyes all you see is her naked body and you can't control your thoughts any longer. There is only one way by which such powerful spells can be blurted out and that is by having sex with another Witch whose aim will be to free you from the spell" At that point Akiza couldn't take it any longer. He knelt on the floor and held his head with both hands, screaming. The mother held him up and knowing fully well that there was only one way to free her son and then bring him to the full control of her own powers she asked the guards standing by to help the son to the chambers of the imprisoned King of Dodo and the gaurds did just that. Samata remained standing there and wondering how she would be able to gather herself together, summon the courage and sleep with her own son. She knew it would be hard for her but what sacrifice would be too high to pay for the preparation of the taking over of the kingdom of Akozo where Zakiza was King, Zakiza who had just defeated the King of Okute and now Preparing to marry his hearthrob Lume?
