Sipping coffee while watching my favorite anime series again and again, yes, that's me. If you are wondering who am I, then let me introduce myself,

I'm Tamago Ringo,

Yes, you heard it right. My name is Ringo, which simply means Apple in Japanese.

And yes, my last name is Tamago, which means egg in Japanese.

You might be thinking why I got named like this.

Well, you may want to ask my parents about that. Nonetheless, you can just call me Rin.

I'm currently watching a certain anime with the slime protagonist.

To be honest, I really like the Isekai anime genre. Especially those with powerful beings who got reincarnated in another world.

I often read mangas and light novels, and guess what? I spent my whole high school life watching those. From a skeleton guy who got stuck in a game to the cute spider with cheat-level abilities.

I wish life can be as easy as that.

For the time being, I'm still studying to achieve my dream of becoming a Manga Artist.

Soon..., Yes soon, I’ll reach that dream of mine. In the meantime let's just let me finish this episode.

I opened the message and totally got surprised.

"Your parents got involved in a car accident, please come immediately to ****** Hospital. I found your number on your father's phone please come immediately"

I was panicking and I'm confused about what to do, I grabbed my wallet on the top of the aisle in the kitchen.

I quickly seek money.

But I barely got any except for some coins.

That hospital is like 3 kilometers away from here.

I wanted to use a taxi but I don't have any spare money.

As I exit the door, I shut the door quite hard.

My hands are trembling.

My mind is not clear at the moment, I'm having different thoughts, good and bad

They are all mixed-up in my mind.

I'm running with all my might,

I'm heading towards the hospital said.

Yes, it's late at night, I'm trying to avoid places where there might be police.

I know, I'm just bewildered with bad thoughts.

Maybe the person who messaged me was in kind of shock at what happened.

That would explain why he/she didn't think about my age if I would be a minor or no.

I'm over halfway to the hospital, but running at this speed is not my specialty.

My legs are trembling, I can barely walk so I stopped at the nearest shed.

I'm breathing at a high speed, I'm doing my best to catch my breath and continue walking.

*beep! beep!*

My phone rings, I unmute it right after I received the horrible message earlier so it rang this time.

I'm quite anxious, I saw a different unknown number I can tell.

I hesitate to open it for a few seconds but I made up my mind on opening it.

"Mr. and Mrs. Tamago is in ****** Hospital and a critical condition, If you are a relative, please come immediately."

As it says, my parents are on the verge of death.

I'm the only relative my parents have.

So I'm the only one in their contacts labeled as 'Daughter'.

They don't usually have airtime balance unless they are needed in their work.

They work in the same company, but in different buildings, however, they don't separate from each other after work.

As I read the message, I made a deep breath and look up into the sky.

I stand and chase the way to the hospital.

I saw a nearby police officer roaming for his night duty.

I'm quite tall and I'm wearing a jacket.

I quickly pulled my hood upright.

Luckily I'm walking on a dark side of the pavement.

As soon as the officer was out of my sight, I ran again.

I reached the hospital, I hurried to the reception desk and

"Tamago..."

I'm still catching my breath and breathing heavily as I say my last name.

"Come again? Egg?"

The receptionist is confused as I say my parents' last name.

"No... N-no no!.. My last name is Tamago... I-I'm looking for my parents"

"Oh okay"

The receptionist's confused face disappeared as she looks for the names in their log.

"2nd floor, room 23."

Right after she finished giving me the room number, I hurried and went to the 2nd floor.

I reached room 23, I saw my parents lying in the hospital bed covered in bloodstains.

I saw the doctor using an apparatus that is made for reviving a patient.

As soon as the nurse saw me, he covered the area with a green curtain forbidding me from seeing my parents.

I'm pretty certain the doctor is reviving my mother.

I'm still eavesdropping on the information inside.

I hear the doctor said a certain number.

I heard him repeat saying numbers but in an increasing value.

I went blank after I heard a straight ear-wrecking sound.

"Time of death, 11:15"

Tears suddenly fall from my eyes without me knowing.

Yes, she died.

Right after that, I heard another ear-wrecking sound. I heard the doctor say a certain number again.

After a repeated attempt, the sound isn't going away.

"Time of death, 11:45"

I heard the doctor reveal another awful truth.

Yes, I'm now officially an orphan.

Crying? No, I just got something in my eyes.

The doctor went out and nod at me. That isn't needed though, I heard all of it.

 I'm done, I have no choice but to give up this life.

As I walk down the stairs of the hospital, my brain is floating around.

As I become so hopeless, various thoughts are playing inside me.

One of them is wanting to suicide.

I'm an otaku, an anime and manga fanatic.

I'm wondering the impossible right now.

I wanna have fun, I don't want to feel pain, agony, misery anymore.

As I wait for a truck to pass by, a police officer patrolling saw me.

He immediately blow his whistle.

Paying him no mind, I look forward and see a truck heading towards me.

After that sound, woah I'm still alive?

I guess the truck manage to dodge me but well, the truck hit a nearby fence.

I don't know if the driver's still alive.

But I'm disappointed to not die.

I think I'm gonna be forceful this time.

The police officer seems like he's talking to someone over the phone.

As I said, I'm gonna force this truck to kill me no matter what.

Maybe the baby did something for me to speak.

"Yes, I heard your wishes. As I am the God of Dimensions, I listen to every last wish of a person dying."

He speaks in a very professional tone.

"God?"

I repeated something funny. I'm familiar with things like this, this is kind of...

Is it true? Oh hell yeah! My conclusions were true!

I remembered the words I heard from that god.

He plays dirty and I really hate it.

I closed my eyes and pray.

I saw the beast with sabertooth tiger-like teeth sitting beside me.

Oh, it wants to befriend me right?

Ahh, I see.

I'm a little worried but I step towards it but it doesn't react at all.

I'm in front of the bear but it won't just look at me.

Are you ignoring me Tanky Tiger?

I don't know if I'm going to be happy that it doesn't hurt me or be mad because it's paying me no attention.

This is rigged.

Ouch! A light bulb hit my head!

(Metaphorically of course)

I know why it just won't notice me!

I'm a ghost LMAO.

I'm so dumb, I must've known that it wouldn't see me since I'm a ghost!

Oof, I got scared out of nothing.

Well, you can't blame me, what will be your reaction if you just saw a beast approaching you?

It's getting dark, I don't feel hungry or thirsty.

Maybe that's just the nature of a ghost.

I saw three moons in the dark sky.

Mr tanky-tiger is still by my side sleeping with a loud snore.

I can't sleep! I tried to count the stars and I fell asleep.

Let's call this a day.
