Chapter 11

The next day, the sun rose, and the light devoured the darkness.

The two girls woke up, ready to leave the cave as soon as possible.

The maid was packing their sleeping bags while the princess wanted to express her gratitude to their savior.

She turned towards where the dragon laid yesterday, but the creature was no longer in the cave with them.

It felt like a dream, but the dead bodies and blood all over the place were a sign that it wasn't a dream.

"My princess, is anything wrong?" The young maid asked.

"Look around; the dragon is no longer here," the princess replied.

The maid also looked around her and noticed that the dragon had truly left.

"It left before we could thank him for saving us." The princess wanted to thank the dragon, because she felt that the dragon could reason like a human, although it couldn't speak.

"Yes, my princess, but what baffles me is the fact that a dragon race is still alive; I thought they all disappeared centuries ago," the maid said as she finished
