Chapter 63: Training to the point of death

June looked out across the pond, his eyes glinting with the wisdom of one who had traversed its depths many times before. "Consider this pond," he said to Elvis, "a place where your training will be accelerated, and your wounds healed." He spoke slowly and clearly, his voice carrying the weight of his experience.

Helene joined in, her voice soft and lilting. "We call this little pond the soul realm," she said. As she spoke, the water began to rise, engulfing both her and Elvis.

Elvis was taken aback. "Wait, what's going on?" he asked, turning to face June with a mixture of confusion and apprehension. June only smiled back at him, a knowing glint in his eye.

In an instant, they were transported to a vast field, the lush green grass stretching out as far as the eye could see. Not a single animal could be seen, and the only sound was the rustling of the grass in the gentle breeze.
