The Provocation

"Get out of here. Go away!" Thabo's mother exclaimed. The woman could only lie on the bed because she was paralyzed.

William Smith tried to convince Thabo's mother and the people there. That he was not the colonizer they thought he was. William Smith also spoke politely and did not raise his voice once, even though many of Thabo's neighbors scoffed at him earlier. Even saying rude things to William Smith.

"I am not a colonizer like you think. I am on business in this city, on vacation to be precise. I have no ill intentions towards any of you. Believe me," William Smith said.

"Is what you say true?" asked one of the neighbors.

"It's true. I am not lying," replied William Smith.

"All right. This time we believe you, but if it is proven that you are lying. We will not hesitate to kick you out of here. Or even hurt you, sir."
