4 Leo Arrives At Mr Jones' Mansion

A few moments later, a black Benz car drove by and parked in front of Leo.

The sudden appearance of the car got tongues wagging. The black Benz was not any ordinary car, it was the latest model and it was still on exclusive access. That meant that whoever owned the car was definitely amongst the top 100 richest people in the world.

When the woman called him and said that she would be coming to pick him up, he didn't expect her to come in a car that was as luxurious as this one.

'I didn't know that the old man was this wealthy....' Leo thought to himself.

Suddenly, the tinted window of the driver's seat rolled down to reveal the face of the most beautiful woman that Leo had ever seen in his life.

A small face with flawless white skin, azure blue eyes, and blonde hair that shone lusciously.

Some of the people who were around when her car drove by were amazed when they saw her through the window. Just like Leo, they were all enchanted by her beauty and some of them even brought out their phones to take photos.

However, public attention didn't seem to faze the lady at all because she ignored the crowd and concentrated on Leo. She looked at him from head to toe with an obvious look of disgust in her eyes. His hair was disheveled and his shoes were dusty so he was definitely giving off a bad impression at that moment.

It was obvious that she was disappointed in what she saw but she kept her mouth shut. She just couldn't understand what her grandfather wanted in a loser like Leo.

"You're the Leonardo Dubois right?" She asked reluctantly.

"Huh?" The question snapped Leo out of his enchantment and he nodded awkwardly in response.

"Get into the car." She sighed and rolled her eyes.

Leo hesitated for a moment as a flicker of doubt surged up in his mind.

This woman was a stranger to him, he didn't know who she was or where she was taking him, and the only reason he agreed to give her an audience was because of the man who sent her...

...Mr Maxwell Jones.

If it wasn't for him, he wouldn't even be speaking to this woman.

"What's the matter?" She asked him harshly when she noticed him hesitating at the door, "Are you getting in or not?"

"I am," Leo replied and entered the car.

"Isn't that Melissa's wretched husband?" Agnes, Melissa's mother asked,

"In the flesh." Her son replied,

"Why is he getting into that type of car driven by a woman? Is he cheating?" Agnes was beside herself in shock. She never believed that Leo would be able to acquaint himself with people who had that level of wealth.

‘Melissa’s secretary told me that Melissa’s going to divorce him.’ He shrugged,

Agnes turned sharply to her son and asked, "this could be the reason she divorced him. She found out that he was cheating."

"I'm not surprised at all," Her son replied, "he's such a wretched and shameless man."

"I still can't believe that Melissa once fell for that useless fellow..." Agnes shook her head slowly in disgust, "he can't even work for his own money. Look at him running after women who are wealthier than him. He's such a shame to manhood."

While the beautiful lady drove to their destination, she took advantage of that opportunity to take a closer look at Leo who was sitting beside her on the passenger's seat.

She had observed him from head to toe for the one-millionth time yet she couldn't find out what made her grandfather call him a man of great power. He was just good looking, apart from that he looked like every other regular broke young man struggling to feed daily.

While they drove to Mr Jones' mansion, Leo found his thoughts drifting back to Melissa and that final look that she had given him before she left with her secretary. 'was that pity or regret?'

Leo was so engrossed in his thoughts that he did not notice when they arrived at their destination and the car came to a stop.

"Huh?" He exclaimed softly as the car stopped abruptly, "Are we there yet?"

"Follow me." She said and stepped out of the car with elegant moves.

"Oh...ok," Leo said as he quickly got out of the car and followed her while silently admiring the colossal mansion that they had arrived at.

The quality of the bricks, the windows, and the architecture told Leo that the owner of that house was extremely wealthy. Even before he acknowledged the superiority of the house, the cars in the garage caught his eye and by the time he had finished calculating the net worth of those cars, he simply concluded that the man's money was probably limitless.

The beautiful young lady who brought him to the house led him inside and Leo realized that there were a lot of servants and guards who worked in the building.

He was quickly snapped back to attention when the soft sounds of the lady's heels on the marble floor stopped. He looked up and saw that she had stopped in front of a large double door.
