"David?" Helen asked in shock as the police officer took a few steps closer to her.

He was a handsome tall man with tanned skin and black hair and his sunglasses with gold rims added a lot more to his appeal. He spoke to her in a warm and friendly manner. "Helen, wow it's been what? Five or six years since I saw you last. I'm so sorry about your grandfather, he was a good man and he didn't deserve to be-"

"Don't give me that shit David, who shot Leo?" She recovered her composure and anger smoothly but she couldn't hide how uncomfortable she felt about the whole situation.

"Well, Helen, I did but there was a good reason for it" He answered her after he got some distance between them. He knew they had a not entirely pleasurable history and he wasn't about to give the most powerful woman in the city a reason to come for his head.
