Chapter 7: Oh that's why!

Dust and sand was scattered around extinguish the fire the was lit by the fireball. But the suden ignition of the wood and leaves almost gave Lucas a heart attack.

" I almost burn down the forest! I should be careful next I cast fireballs"

Says he as he step down cinders to extinguish them.

The serries of notification sounded which made Lucas delighted.

But his expression immediately turn serious. He raise his weapon and look around him in vigilance.

"Where's the other one!?"

*Growl!"

A shadow sudenly appeared on his left, Lucas jump back in reflex as he saw the sharp claw of the third wolf almost grazed his neck.

The wolf fell and roll. It have a bleeding wound on it's side and part of its face are scorch,but it almost palpable killing intent is flowing out it's eyes as it growl at Lucas.

Lucas immediately stand up as he point his spear at the beast, the beast is extremely wounded and knows that it can't wait for more better opening it leap forward with it fangs aming at Lucas neck.

Lucas immediately dodge left and raised his stick to strike down the wolf but the it seems that it was expected by the wolf, it raised it hind leg and landed a kick on Lucas chest sending him back.

"Argh"

The sharp claws on the fire wolf legs scratch Lucas chest but thankfully his uniform help to reduce the damage, but two gashes appeared on his clothes.

Lucas immediately stand up with a leap. He felt pain on his chest but he doesn't have time to worry about it now.

The wolf didn't gave Lucas any time to react and launch an attack again. Being unable to dodge Lucas just raised his stack and met the wolf's attack. With his strength he aim at the wolf abdomen and thrust with all his might.

" Ahhhh!!"

*Swoowh*

The reach of the stick is a little longer than the wolf paw , preventing it form landing a scratch on Lucas body so it aik for his arm instead. But Lucas quickly pulled away his spear from the wolf dodging it counter attack . The wolf fell to the ground with a thud , with extreme aggression and vitalty it tried to stand up but Lucas charge forward ,landing a down ward smash at the wolf.

*Bang*

The wolf fell with a whine again and weakly struggled but the accumulated damage on it body made it slowly paralyzed until it bleed to death.

The notification made Lucas slump down the ground.

Lucas paid no attention to the notifications as he suppress the pain on his chest. This was the very first damage he have taken from a enemy on this world ,but compared to his awakening this pain was no sh*t at all.

After sometime Lucas stand up again with his thought he activated his life detection again . In fear that a pack of wolves may have incircled him already but he was shock to see that there are no more beast around. Infact there are no animals around him anymore.

'Weird , a lone wolf was one thing but a group of three wolves should not be far from their pack.'

Lucas stand up and perk up him self, he then quickly move forward to the east.

' even though they are not here there is still a possibility that they are just farther than my detection range.'

With the feeling of danger Lucas immediately opened his status and added point to his stat as he jog pass, he first added points into all his stats until it was all in 20 which is the threshold and the adding point ls after that will not be worth 10 per point anymore.

Lucas spend 210 SP on the his stat on which he was left with 349 of points

He then tried to add more to strength but he was shock by the response of the system.

"" Adding point cannot exceed threshold until Hero reach lvl 5!""

Which stump Lucas and made him stop on his track, but to think about it he was able to understand that his stat was now equalvalent to a level 10 human.

' and all my stats have all rech level 10 '

With that Lucas just upgraded his skill starting from his investigation skill.

"" Upgrading skill will lead to evolution, spend 100 SP for skill evolution?""

The system suddenly asked.

" So above advance is evolution.!"

Lucas spress yes without second thought.

After a slight light his investigation skill evovle into appraisal!

With Lucas upgraded endurance, the pain from his wound was seem to be disappearin.

Lucas was estatic with his new gained skill. He was about to upgrade more skill when he heard a muffled sound. He then tried to hear more intently.

' are those metal hitting rocks!?"

Lucas was then get exited

" Metal tools means people!"

He immediately run towards the sound which lead him out the river path to a gorge like path. He stand on its edge and look down in which he saw a clearly human made road. But he was then hit with a realization.

" So that's why the I didn't met the pack back then!"
