Bill downed a glass of water, trying to quell the anger that was now flaring up inside him. He realized that he shouldn't get carried away because he saw Miranda with another man after kicking her out. Not only because Joana was present, but also because they were in a public place. Bill didn't want to make a scene that would get Joana into trouble.

"Are you okay, Bill?" Joana asked when she saw the change in Bill's face.

"Ah, yes. I'm fine," Bill said as he forced himself to smile at Joana.

Joana smiled back and continued eating. She didn't ask any more questions, but in her heart she knew that something was wrong with Bill.

Bill also tried not to be bothered, but his table and Miranda's table were close enough that he could hear what his wife was talking about with her mistress.

"So have you kicked out your useless husband, darling?" asked Miranda's affair man in a tone that sounded so sickening to Bill's ears.

"Yes, I've kicked him out. Now we don't need to have a secret relationship like before." Miranda said.

Bill's jaw hardened again. It was true, his wife had been having an affair since before she kicked him out.

"How about I go to your house tonight and stay there?" asked Miranda's affair man.

Bill could hear Miranda laughing. The laughter that he used to love so much, but now sounded so disgusting to him.

"I was just about to say that. These past few nights I've been feeling lonely because I have to sleep alone." Miranda answered her mistress still in a spoiled tone.

Bill's hands clenched involuntarily. His patience seemed to be wearing thin and was almost at its limit.

"You know, honey, I felt so relieved when you said you'd kicked your husband out. I always felt jealous whenever I thought of him touching you." Miranda's affair man said again.

"Why would you feel jealous? He's a piece of trash. Not only does he not make any money, but he's terrible in bed. When I have sex with him, I often imagine I'm doing it with you so I can climax." Miranda replied.

Miranda's mistress laughed at that, as if she felt so satisfied.

Bill put down the knife and fork in his hand rather roughly. That was enough. Now his patience had completely run out. He had to teach those two immoral people a lesson. It didn't matter if he was currently with Joana or in a public place.

"Bill? Joana called Bill with a little confusion when she saw Bill get up from his seat.

Bill didn't answer Joana's call. He strode angrily toward Miranda's table, then immediately pulled Miranda's hair back, making her face look up at Bill forcefully.

Of course Miranda and her mistress were shocked. They had not expected Bill to be there at all.

"Bill?" muttered Miranda with a shocked expression.

"You bitch!" swore Bill as he released his grip on Miranda's hair.

"Hey, man! What the fuck are you doing?" Miranda's mistress looked unhappy at what Bill was doing. She got up and was about to push Bill's body, but Bill grabbed her by the collar first, then gave her a very hard punch on the man.

Miranda screamed as she saw her mistress fall to the ground. So did the other diners. The atmosphere of the restaurant became rather chaotic.

"Alan, are you okay?" Miranda immediately helped her mistress up with a worried look on her face.

Bill grinned a little when he heard Miranda call his mistress' name. He remembered that it was the name of his wife's former lover. That meant, Miranda was currently having an affair with the man who had dumped her. How ridiculous.

"If she's dying from just one punch, doesn't that mean she's too weak?" Bill responded while pulling the collar of the man named Alan's shirt again to beat him up.

"Are you crazy, Bill?" asked Miranda unhappily.

Bill didn't care what Miranda said. He returned to throwing punches to Alan's face and several parts of his body. Of course Alan fought back and tried to hit Bill back, but the man's strength was nothing compared to Bill's anger. As a result, it didn't take long for Bill to beat Alan to a pulp.

The restaurant was getting noisy. Security guards arrived to secure Bill and Alan. Likewise with Miranda, she was also secured because all the commotion originated from her. Meanwhile, Joana, who had been watching from her table because she didn't want to interfere in Bill's personal affairs, finally got up too. In a way, she now understood what problems Bill was facing.

"Are you crazy, Bill? How could you beat Alan up like this? So what if he makes me more comfortable than you, huh?" Miranda looked furious at Alan's battered state.

"I won't let this matter go unpunished. I'll make sure you go to jail for beating me up." Alan added. The man's pride instantly fell as he had to feel the blow from the man he insulted without being able to retaliate.

"Go ahead! Do what you want to do. But before that, I'll break your legs and arms first!" Bill was about to attack Alan again, but was immediately stopped by the security guards.

"You should be ashamed, Bill! I prefer Alan because he has what you don't have. He can give me a sense of comfort and can certainly guarantee my life financially." Miranda said in a condescending tone.

Bill's blood boiled again at Miranda's words. If it wasn't for the security guards holding his body back, he would have thrown another punch at Alan, or even at Miranda.

"Who says that man is better than Bill. Your eyes are blind, missy." A woman's voice interrupted, making everyone turn their heads towards the voice. Whose voice was it if not Joana's. She was standing elegantly with her arms folded across her chest.

Bill instantly realized that he had come to that place with Joana. He also became confused, how to explain the current situation to his old friend.

"Who are you?" Miranda asked Joana.

"Me?" Joana stepped gracefully closer, then embraced Bill's arm intimately. "I'm Joana. Bill's girlfriend."

Of course Miranda and Alan were surprised by Joana's confession. So was Bill. However, Bill immediately understood that Joana was trying to help him.

"What?" Miranda looked incredulous, or rather refused to believe.

"Why, do you think only you can have a girlfriend behind Bill's back, then Bill can't do the same?" Joana asked.

Bill smiled at Miranda's current expression. It was satisfying to see Miranda at a loss for words. He decided to support Joana's lie by putting his arm around her waist, as if they were really dating.

"Bill? You have a mistress too?" asked Miranda incredulously. She felt unacceptable. On the other hand, she was also upset that Joana looked like a girl from the wealthy class.

"I wouldn't consider it an affair because she seems to be my true soul mate." Bill said.

"Heh, seriously. You must be trying to brag. How can any woman be interested in a man who doesn't have money like you." Miranda refused to lose in front of Bill.

"I already have a lot of money, so to me, it doesn't matter if Bill can't make money right now. After all, the money I have won't run out just to have fun every day." Joana replied to Miranda's words with a bit of pride, but grace.

"And one more. If you think Bill sucks in bed, it's just your bad luck. Because when he's with me, he's always full of desire and passion. He's very good at satisfying me. Maybe you're too boring, that's why he's half-hearted about making love to you." Joana added with a smile.

Miranda's face was flushed, between embarrassment and anger.

"Come on, honey, let's go." Joana looked up at Bill while still smiling.

Bill nodded in agreement.

"Sir, I've contacted someone who will take care of the mess at the restaurant. He should be here any minute. Tell that person if I have to pay compensation. Including medical expenses for them." Joana said again, this time to the security guard securing Bill.

"Hey, Miss. You can't just take that man away!" Alan didn't accept it.

"Just tell all your complaints to my lawyer, sir. He'll take care of it." Joana said.

Bill and Joana were finally allowed to leave by the restaurant security. They both left the place, not caring about the cursing coming out of Miranda's mouth.

Bill was stunned when he saw Joana handing him many bags of groceries. Joana had said she was going shopping, but Bill didn't expect her to buy things for him."What's this, Jo?" asked Bill as he glanced at the contents of the shopping bags. There were new shoes, belts, and clothes. There was also an expensive watch and perfume that Bill knew cost more than a thousand dollars."If you want to change your fate, then the first thing you have to do is change your appearance." Joana replied."Really?" Bill still seemed hesitant to accept the items because they were all too luxurious."Have you ever heard the wise man's saying? Good shoes will take you to good places. Good looks will also bring you good fortune." Joana explained."Is that so?" Again Bill looked unconvinced. It was enough that he could eat and drink for free here. If he still received other things too, it really felt like he was shameless."Hey, what are you thinking about to make that expression on your face?" Joana asked
