Bill drove Joana back to the office after the emotional talk. They had agreed, more precisely Joana decided to support Bill's decision. Then, the resignation letter was completed two days later.

Not many people knew about Bill's resignation other than Joana and her secretary, as well as the HR department. However, Joana's attitude over the past two days could not be separated from the views of three of her close coworkers.

"Two hours to the meeting, right?" asked Ronie to confirm the announcement before lunch.

Lee, who was sitting next to her, nodded.

"Did you notice anything change about Ms. Boss?" Ronie asked again.

"What?"

Ginna who was with them just listened while eating her lunch.

Ronie's eyes narrowed, as if the person she was talking about was in front of her. "Ms. Boss looks like someone who just had a breakup." The next second the man winced at the pain in his upper arm. "It hurts, Lee!"

"You, don't just talk," Lee scolded with a sharp glare.

"I'm telling you what I saw!

The representative of the Salomon family looked at Bill with sharp eyes. Without anyone noticing, the man gripped the side of the table so tightly that the veins around his arms stood out. Bill didn't answer, just as he was about to turn back to his desk, the representative of the Edmund family exclaimed, "What report are you referring to, Bill?" Diana said it in a matter-of-factly telling tone. It was the woman's attitude that currently made Bill frown, even more confused and out of his mind. Diana's way of speaking did not show anger at all. "Alright. That means I am now free from the influence of you and Mrs. Julie. I am no longer bound by that agreement and you have nothing to lose. After the meeting at the Salomon family residence that day, Ryan went to his personal physician for a check-up. He might have been framed and lied to by the man about the poison in his body. Although it was likely that the Salomons would not waste time on that. "Most of your internal organs are detected as getting exposure to poison, sir. However, this poison is very difficult to recognize, so it's hard to prove if you were poisoned," said Ryan's personal physician. He stared with a regretful look. "Also, I can't be sure what medicine can be used as an antidote and how long the poison will work."It was bad news that Ryan could not help but accept. The man looked at his doctor with a complicated gaze. It would be a lie if there wasn't a sense of worry and fear of the worst. Jonathan asked with a frown. "Because now you are the owner." Ryan said. "What does that mean?" Jonathan still didn't understand. If power had been transferred, it must not have been for something trivial. Ryan had never talked about this before either. What was going through Ryan's mind was completely out of Jonathan's reach. There's Jeremy who always helps you, right?" Jonathan still demanded further explanation. "Is my old age not enough of an excuse for you?" he asked with a flat look in his eyes.
