The Battle Begins

Bill drove Joana back to the office after the emotional talk. They had agreed, more precisely Joana decided to support Bill's decision. Then, the resignation letter was completed two days later.

Not many people knew about Bill's resignation other than Joana and her secretary, as well as the HR department. However, Joana's attitude over the past two days could not be separated from the views of three of her close coworkers.

"Two hours to the meeting, right?" asked Ronie to confirm the announcement before lunch.

Lee, who was sitting next to her, nodded.

"Did you notice anything change about Ms. Boss?" Ronie asked again.

"What?"

Ginna who was with them just listened while eating her lunch.

Ronie's eyes narrowed, as if the person she was talking about was in front of her. "Ms. Boss looks like someone who just had a breakup." The next second the man winced at the pain in his upper arm. "It hurts, Lee!"

"You, don't just talk," Lee scolded with a sharp glare.
