Where is Bill?

Joana ate her breakfast this morning with no appetite. She munched on her homemade toast while daydreaming. Her mind wandered back and forth, wondering where Bill was at the moment.

Yesterday Joana had felt happy when Bill said he would come to her apartment room. Although she didn't know what Bill wanted to talk to her about, Joana thought they could clarify the relationship. Joana had even prepared a special dinner for Bill. Unfortunately, Bill didn't show up until midnight. He couldn't even be reached.

At first, Joana felt upset. She thought maybe Bill was with Miranda and had forgotten about the appointment. But then, Joana doubted her own thoughts. She knew that Bill was not the type of person who would break a promise on purpose. Even if he failed to come to Joana's apartment room to see Miranda, Bill would at least give her the news.
