Victor's breath caught in his throat as Steffen entered the hospital waiting area with this elderly woman.

The memories of that fateful night when Patricia had betrayed his tust by cheating on him and openly saying that their time together was all but a lie.

As the memories flooded back, his face was contorted with hate and anger simmering beneath the surface.

He watched Steffen, his tall frame and confident stride, as he escorted what presumably was his mother given the resemblance between them.

The old woman seemed frail, and Victor's anger intensified at the thought that Steffen might have a hand in not just his personal troubles but also the financial disaster that befell the company.

The suspicion fueled Victor's resentment. He recalled the heated arguments and confrontation in the boardroom, with Steffen taking sides with Mr Alejandro Martinez, who stood against the leadership of Victor's alter ego, Alexander Steel.
